To increase awareness of cotton production in USA and Australia and to find new markets, Cotton LEADS™ was found by Cotton Council International (CCI), National Cotton Council of America (NNC), Cotton Incorporated and Cotton Australia.
With Cotton LEADS ™ which was found with the mutual effort of USA and Australia cotton industry, the demands of the world textile industry, the sustainability of the cotton, giving assurance in accordance with the main principles of the responsibly produced cotton, cotton production is expected to move better.
The prerequisite for sustainable production, beginning with fibers, is to be traceable throughout the supply chain. In cottons produced in USA and Australia, advanced tracking and identification systems, provides the product to be traced until to its source.
Fiber leaders: USA and Australia
USA and Australia, in worldwide standard in the international market, is in the leading position in the production of cotton fiber. Both countries, makes approximately 17 percent of world cotton production and nearly 40 percent of global cotton exports. However, the amount of certified cotton fiber is 4 percent. This level is insufficient for the textile industry in the world. Cotton LEADS ™, will provide brands engaged in large volume business and manufacturers an opportunity to supply responsibly produced fiber.

Between 8-12 January 2014, in Heimtextil 2014 Home Textile Fair which will be held in Frankfurt Exhibition Center, in order to increase awareness of the cotton production practices in USA and Australia, Cotton LEADS™ found by Cotton Council International (CCI), National Cotton Council of America (NNC), Cotton Incorporated and Cotton Australia, will be introduced. While CCI is supporting licensed firms such as Altınbasak, Hürsan, Kaynak Havlu, Kocaer Tekstil, Kucuker Tekstil, Menderes Tekstil, Menekşe Tekstil, Nesa Tekstil, Sanko Tekstil, Sarar Giyim Tekstil, Turkuaz Tekstil ve Zorluteks that has booth in Heimtextil 2014 Home Textile Fair, in COTTON USA booth some product samples from Kimpeks's collection will be exhibited.
