Coming to the forefront with their machinery related to woven carpets, rugs, knitting and the continuous heat setting and steaming of hand- knitted yarns, Superba continues to offer innovative solutions to the industry. Marketing and Service Director Dr. Hubert Tretsch, answering the questions of our publishing group on behalf of the Superba Group, which is providing service since 1955, gave information with respect to the new technologies their company has developed and upon competitive solutions.
Superba, founded in the year 1955 and starting its production journey with knitting machinery, is continuing its journey through the manufacturing of machinery for steaming knitting-yarns. Marketing and Service Manager Hubert Tretsch, shared the following information about the company's production activities; “Superba Group, was founded in the year 1955, with respect to the production of knitting machinery. The Group, in this process, also established relationships with spinning companies, supporting them by providing an insight into their manufacturing problems. This issue in 1962 has led to establishment of the Superba S.A. Textile Machinery Department. And in 1971, the company launched its first textile machinery, which was developed to supply steam to the knitting-yarns. In particular, this machine has been further developed for processing carpet yarns. Since then, the company has experienced sustainable growth driven by its continuous product innovations and the increased use of yarn treatments in the carpet manufacturing industry. Superba, joining the Vandewiele group in mid-2015, continues its activities in order to provide the industry with innovation, quality and profitability.” Stating that Superba had joined the Belgian group Vandewiele since July 2015, Mr. Hubert Tretsch indicated that a very strong synergy had been formed between the two companies.
Mr. Hubert Tretsch, indicating that the company was mainly engaged in developing and producing integrated heat setting lines for yarn processing, stated that Superba was the largest and most experienced manufacturer of high-tech heat setting machinery. Mr. Tretsch gave the following statement regarding products; “Superba is mainly developing and producing integrated heat setting lines for yarn processing. However, the usage is not limited only to the carpet manufacturing industry. With more than 35 years of experience, specialized in the field of tufted and woven carpets, Superba with a complete range of machines including the latest generation of the heat-setting line, TVP3S together with the new MF400 friezing machine and fully automatic winder – B401, offers innovative and competitive solutions. Superba also provides the LV3 steaming and shrinking lines for the heat setting of Acrylic yarns and the new MCD/3 space-dyeing machines.”
Unique Bi-Color Technology With MCD3 Space-Dyeing Machine
Recently participating at the ITMA exhibition in Milan, Mr. Hubert Tretsch, providing information to our publishing group upon Superba’s new machinery introduced to the market in the field of carpet yarn, continued his wordings as follows; “In Milan, we introduced an improved version of the very well-known TVP3 heat-setting line, the new TVP3S. This line brings more flexibility with a universal laying system named MLU, which enables the yarn producer to switch their production from straight-set to frieze mode within minutes. This laying device also includes a new friezing box MF400, for a wider range of frieze effects. The automatic winder B401 has been extended to 96 ends to fit the high production of the new LV3 setting line for very fine denier acrylic yarn. However, one of our largest recent successes is our new MCD3 space-dyeing machine. With its exclusive linear high-speed actuators, this machine is able to continuously space-dye up to 72 ends with 6 colors, and offers a unique bi-color technology.”
Mr. Hubert Tretsch, noting that the products which they had introduced at the fair had attracted a lot of attention, stated that exhibitions were always very important for Superba. Mr. Tretsch also indicated that they saw these exhibitions as being a privilege to be able to present their latest developments to the customers located in many different parts of the world.
“The USA Has Lost Its Place For Gaziantep”
Last but not least answering our questions upon their activities in Turkey, Mr. Tretsch indicated that they attached great importance to their sales in the Turkish market. Mr. Tretsch, ended his words as follows: “Turkey is a strong market for the carpet industry. Our sales in this country have been very significant in the past years, especially since 2010. Even though with the global weakening of the economy since 2014, our sales have a little decreased, Turkey remains as the first market in the world for Superba. In fact, the USA has lost their first place for Gaziantep. With a market share above 65%, we remain the main machine provider for dyeing and heat-setting the carpet yarn in Turkey.”
Our sales here in the past years, especially since 2010, was very important. our sales dropped slightly since 2014 with the weakening of the global economy, though Turkey will continue to remain the world's first market superba. So much so that there are now over the United States ranks first in Gaziantep. Turkey in the field of painting and carpet yarn heat setting with a market share of over 65 percent, we continue to maintain our host provider location
