Textechno which was founded by Herbert Stein, continued its existence as a small business with 6 employees until 1953. In 80’s, the company increase the number of product range beside of its number of employee and plants. The company moved to its current building in Dohrweg in 1987 since its first plants in Regentenstrasse caused logistical problems. The company established a new plant in Chemnitz – Germany for product supplying to the European market. In 2004, Textechno took over Lenzing instrument which is a part of Lenzing Technik. So, the company gained an important synergy in global market. Lenzing Instrument was founded in 1965 and has wide range product in the production of tensile- and fineness testing equipment for staple fibres.
Textechno underlined the importance of right and reliable parameters for high quality. Important parameters such as regularity, strength and elongation, density and thickness, purity and color or general defective or perfect conditions in the fiber and yarn directly affect quality. The company achieved to combine the technologies of microprocessor with computer/software technologies for these subjects.
New Technologies Develops Quality
In ITMA Barcelona, the company attracted great attention by exhibiting technologies for yarn and fabric quality control. The company’s new generation yarn tension device STATIMAT DS provides most important 3 different methods; tension, regularity, yarn number measurement test.
Cotton Control Line which was exhibited firstly in ITMA 2007, became more functional by reforming with new equipments in 2011. Beside of this innovated system, the company presented FIBROTEST which is a test equipment of fiber length and durability, COVATES which is new regularity test machine and the other equipment MDTA 3. automatic single-fibre testing system FAVIMAT+ has outstanding unusual features. The machine includes 6 test methods in one instruemnt. Also, FAVIMAT+ automatic single fiber system which has a developed back feeding system stood out.
Another system which is developed by Textechno is a new automatic drapability tester DRAPETEST which is used for technical and non-crimp fabrics. The behavior of standard- and non-crimp fabrics in forming and draping is of importance in any production process of non-flat, fabric-reinforced composite parts. This equipment characterizes the possible formation of defects during draping and forming. It minimizes defects with its measurement power and visual analysis. An optional sensor in DRAPETEST can determine large-scale wrinkles. The equipment is suited for fabrics made of glass, carbon, aramid, and similar materials.
Textechno which gained positive trend in 2011 market expects to maintain its success in 2012. The company will attend important fairs to increase its strong position in the market. Textechno will attend JEC Composites Show in Paris on 27-29 March. The company will meet sector representatives in ITMA ASIA+ CITME on 12-16 June.
