Sustainable Solutions From Oerlikon Neumag

Having a strong position in the global market with the innovative Technologies that it offers to the yarn machines, Oerlikon Neumag will exhibit its latest innovations at FloorTek Expo to be held by the American Floorcovering Alliance on 18-29 October 2016.

Focusing on the solutions for the sustainable production of carpet yarns, Oerlikon Neumag emphasizes that sustainability is a major trend in BCF yarn production and shapes its innovations in this direction. e-saving solutions developed by Oerlikon Neumag in this field are shown by the success of RoTac tangling unit which reduces energy consumption considerably.

Oerlikon Neumag meets almost all requirements of the carpet yarn manufacturers with its range of systems. Heavy demands for BCF S+ and Sytec One systems confirm this situation, as well. While S+ offers a convincing solution for residential and commercial commodity applications, Sytec One offers solutions for the specialty products and demanding production processes thanks to its single end technology.

Michael Rübenhagen, Sales Director BCF, says that, “with S+ and Sytec One, we are pretty well positioned within the BCF market in the World. We can meet all customer requirements in practice with these two systems.” Having a market share of 80 % in the world and even more in the USA, Oerlikon Neumag directs the BCF market.

RoTac³ Offers Advantages To The Yarn Manufacturers

Preventing loop formations thanks to the blended loops during the tufting and weaving of the loops of carpets, RoTac3 Tangling Unit can ensure the homogeneous appearance of the carpet called as tricolor by identifying the color blends of tricolor yarns, as well. Stating that, “Since the introduction of RoTac³ to the market for BCF S+ system, about 90 % of all sales have been realized together with the Tangling Unit”, Michael Rübenhagen continued by saying: “For us, this marks the increasing importance of energy costs in BCF production. RoTac has been used as tangling unit in single-end Sytec One since 2012. Meanwhile, almost all Sytec One systems are sold with RoTac tangling unit. Thus, further development of the unit in order to create a three-end system has been a logical outcome.”
