Rieter will provide its visitors and business partners with information on Stand No. 213-A, Hall 2, where Erbel Representative will also take place.

The company will highlight particularly the C70 carding machine at the fair. This high performance carding machine that ensures highest production speed and highest quality for all yarn applications, has 1,5 m working width, the maximum active carding area in the market.

Precise flat guiding and innovation in the pre and post carding area allow, with the selective waste extraction, an excellent raw material exploitation and silver quality. The silver quality is maintained at the top level with the integrated grinding sytem IGS. By utilizing draw frame modules instead of the classical can coilers, the customers can optimally layout the process.

Rieter sets standards for ideal compacting with K45, which is a further development of the successful compact spinning machine K44 and which has a machine length up to 1632 spindles. In addition the K45 compact spinning machine has a great flexibility for quality yarns. The machine the applications of which have been extended, increases its success with technical spinning solutions. The energy and maintenance costs of the compacting system with perforated metal cylinders are much lower compared with the other compacting systems.

Rieter, which will offer a comprehensive technological expertise in all 4 spinning processes through to the textile end product to the sector representatives gathering in İstanbul, will provide its customers with support especially in the choice of the right spinning process. Besides, Rieter will provide information on the benefits of the 4 Rieter yarns through the various end products and fabric samples it will exhibit at its stand.

These products that provide the customers with the advantage of controlling the production costs firmly, contribute the development of new yarns by ensuring flexibility in the yarn market.

While supporting the öarketing of all yarns spun on Rieter machines, Rieter will present at the ITM the current reference and license customers from whom downstream processors & yarn handlers can procure high-quality yarns.

Comforjet License to Hermann Bühler AG from Rieter

The spinning company, Hermann Bühler AG, headquartered in Winterthur-Sennhof, Switzerland, has acquired the Rieter license for Comforjet. Hermann Bühler AG, which produces yarns for customers with high demands with its extensive portfolio, has been involved from the start in the development of the Rieter air-jet spinning machine. In addition, the company became one of the first suppliers of Confortjey yarns.

The yarn manufactured in the Rieter air-jet spinning machine is marketed under the brand name ComforJet®. The new form of the yarn construction on the air-jet spinning machine, is creates as a result of the turbulence from an air stream in a spinning nozzle. Typical features of ComfortJet are the very low hairiness, the smooth yarn surface and the associated soft and voluminous yarn character.

Rieter actively promotes the supply sources for licensed yarns and also provides a direct link to the licensee via the Rieter website. . Customers who have decided in favour of a yarn license are supported by the specialists in special projects. In addition to their own marketing activities, licensed customers receive support from Rieter.

Rieter Continued to Strengthening in 2011

Rieter, the important brand of textile machinery and components, announced striking sales and profit figures in 2011. The group states that the spring of 2011 was a turning point. Rieter, which operates in the segments of Textile and Automotive Systems, has announced that the shareholders and the board of directors aproved of these two segments operating in future as independent companies. When this separation is completed, Rieter will industrially focused on the components for fiber spinning mills and supplier machinery. Rieter Textile Systems Division conducts the business in two groups, Spun Yarn Systems and Preimum Textile Components.

According to the financial report for 2011 announced by Rieter, the previous year was an encouraging one for the company. Rieter again reported striking sales growth and a significant increase in the operating result and net profit. In the orders it received, the company achieved the level of 958,3 million CHF although it experienced a decrease of 34 percent compared with 2010, described as an extraordinary strong year. Fort hat reason Rieter still has a strong level of orders. The company that increased its sales revenues by 22 percent, earned 1060,8 million CHF. This increase amounted to 27 percent in local currencies. Rieter experienced an increase of 49 percent in the operating results and increased the income generated from the operations form 75,7 million CHF to 112,6 million CHF.

In 201, the company’s net profit increased to 119,9 million CHF, which is equivalent to 11,4 percent of corporate output. Rieter’s net profit was 82,9 million CHF in 2010. This year, expanded its market position this year, which is under review and it has displayed a strong balance graph. On this basis, Rieter intensified its investments in 2011, especially in the large Asian growing markets and for the development of the products to meet the needs of specific markets. In order to lay the foundations for further profitable growth, Rieter has announced that it will continue its intensified investment activities through the 2012 financial year.

The disruption observed in the financial markets in 2011, the economic crisis in Europe and the strength of the Swiss franc created the most dramatic situation since 1970s. Rieter, which has systematically assumed a global focus since 1990s, held its own well in this European-centered environment of uncertainty. Rieter, which is transferring manufacturing operations to the its customers in particular to India and China, exploited the cost benefits of these locations and limited the currency risks.

Increase in Demand Continued in the Textile Segment

The increase in demand in the global market for the textile machinery and companents observed in 2010 continued in the first quarter of 2011. However, this investment climate started to cool off in the second quarter. The high cost of cotton and declining yarn prices intensified the pressure on spinning mills’ margins and liquidity. The uncertainty continues also in the second half of the year due to the expectations from the global economy and the trend in raw material prices. In the second quarter, the market retreated itself to a lower level compared with the previous year. Demand for yarns declined in 2011. However in the second half of the year, the spinning mills managed to reduce the yarn inventories to some extent.

The amount of the orders Rieter received declined by 34 percent compared with the previous year. The company recorded 1,454,6 million CHF in 2010 and this figure declined to 958,3 million CHF in 2011. In local currencies this decline amounted to 31 percent. This decline in the orders become more effective in the second quarter of the year and it affected both business groups seriously. However the slowdown had less impact on Preimum Textile Components Business Group than the Machinery Business (Spun Yarn Systems Business Group)

The company has announced that due to the disruption and slowdown experienced in the raw materials and yarn markets, some customers postponed or canceled orders. It has been also stated that these cancelations affected the orders placed in the peak year of 2010. Therefore in the second half of 2011, Rieter recorded orders that worth 112,6 million CHF in total. Excluding cancelations, orders received in the second half of the year amounted to 399,6 million CHF and the orders in hand at the year-end slightly exceeded 600 million CHF.

Last year, China, Turkey and India were the regions, where Reiter created the largest volume of orders. South Korea, Indonesia, the USA, Brazil, Pakistan and Bangladesh are also considered to be important markets. All in all, in 2011, Rieter further expanded its market position across the world and strengthened its market position in China and India.

As for the workforce, Rieter employed 4,395 people in 2010. This figure increased to 4,695 on December 31, 2011. The employment increase in China and India played an important role in this increase.
