Rieter Keeps the Pulse of the Market

Rieter, one of the most important machine suppliers of Turkish yarn sector, continues to grow with the speed it gained after ITMA Barcelona. The company, engaged in special work on the right investment decisions from fiber to yarn, strengthens its position with innovative solutions. Rieter, which participated in the most important fairs of the global market, appeals to its customers with successful technology policy. The company which managed to become a preferred brand with R & D activities in addition to production, orginizing events such as special meetings, manufactures with 4 spinning systems. Among them, there are ring spinning, compact spinning, rotor spinning, air-jet spinning. The company's demonstrating its products participating in fairs like ITM İstanbul and ITMA Asia CITME in the year 2012 after it participated in ITMA Barcelona in September 2011 is considered to be the steps that indicate the company follows the market closely.

Rieter organizes seminars that conveys different spinning technologies. The continuation of the first seminar that will take place from November 27 – 28 in Winterhur, Switzerland is planned for 2013 in Switzerland, India and China. The occasion contains the assessments made at the point of orientation to the needs of the company and purchasing yarns. The company, which will carry out studies within the 2 – day seminar, will have the opportunity to discuss the information about assessment of yarn characretistics and the process with the participants. The purpose of the organisation is explained to be review of new opportunities. In view of the surveys, customer demands, the issues that come to the fore in the seminar are expressed as follows; Ring spinning, compact spinning, rotor spinning and air – jet spinning: technological information about the 4 spinning systems, Com4 technology, advantages for use of fabrics made of these yarns, and assessment of end products.

Investment Program is Being Shaped

Rieter labours over the policies that it wants to implement in the future. Authorities explained that demand for short staple spinning machine would grow around 2.3 percent by the year 2030 and they emphasized that conscious investments should be made. Authorities, who explained that demand from China and India will increase each term, stressed that Rieter also will catch a growth rate of 5 percent annually. The information that the company would work, especially in Premium segment, for local markets in Asia in the coming years was also given. The company is thinking of increasing capacity especially in China and India and it will assess the increasing demand on air jet spinning systems. About 90 million Swiss francs are planned to be invested at the end of 2012 and especially at the beginning of 2013.

Rieter, which will go into one point decrease in operating profit margin to accelerate investments, aims to achieve at least 9 percent operating profit margin in demand cycle, and at least 12 percent operating profit margin in successful years.

4 Spinning Technologies From One Source

Rieter Marketing Manager Edda Walraf pointed out that they offer 4 spinning technologies from single source. Walraf says that each of the spinning technologies; ring spinning, compact spinning, rotor spinning and air – jet spinning technologies offer different advantages and he stressed the need to choose the best spinning technology for them.

About the advantages of yarn processes, Walraf said: “Yarns, manufactured with 4 spinning technologies, may also be assessed according to the advantages of the next processes. Yarn characteristics indicate which yarns are most suitable for which applications. For eample, it is indisputable that shirt fabrics to which crease – proofing is applied are produced from the best, the highest strength compact yarns. The use of compact yarns reduces fiber fly in weaving and knitting. When compared to ring yarns, reduced downiness decreases the tendency of the yarns to tangle with each other and reduces sizing in weaving. Compact yarns can be used in the frequent production of a special fabric. On the other hand, bands in different colours in warp can be produced not only with compact yarns but also with air – jet yarns as long as they provide the necessary yarn strength. Eperiments conducted by Rieter showed that textile materials produced from air – jet yarns are in tendency to lowest piling. And this makes yarn suitable for producing T-shirt and underwear in knitting. Elastic and non – elastic core yarns can be produced by ring and compact spinning machines. Fancy yarns such as shantung yarns can be produced by ring, compact and rotor spinning machines. If the yarn is to be used for velvet and corduroy, yarns which can be easily opened up in pile are suitable such as ring, compact and air – jet yarns. A different yarn feature creates a different image in the end product. These potential differences make the manufacturer stand innovative in the market.

Hermann Bühler AG Celebrates 200th Anniversary

Based in Winterthur – Sennhof, Switzerland, Hermann Bühler spinning mill had gained Rieter ComforJet License. With an extensive portfolio, Hermann Bühler AG, which manufactures yarns for customers with high demands, continues to produce, taking part in the development Rieter air – jet spinning machine since the beginning.  At the same time, the company is among the first suppliers of Comforjet yarns. The company, which has been working with the motto ' A Passion for Spinning for 200 Years', is shaping the perception of quality with its long history. Hermann Bühler, celebrating its 200th age, has met global market – leading 140 customers. In the occasion where  leaders of the global industry gathered, Rieter air – jet spinning machine was appraised. The red armchir, which has become the most important symbol of Rieter, was among the leading actors in the organization. Following the red Rieter armchair recital in which the photos of all guests were taken, special presentations were held. Also, 140 guests participating in the occasion had the opportunity to observe J 20 air – jet spinning machine closely. It was emphasized that the participants were impressed by the high production speed and technology level of the automation of the machine. J 20 air – jet spinning machine offers up to 120 high – production spinning units. J 20 can be equipped for separate production on both machine sides. Two different yarn qualities can be spun simultaneously on the machine.

The first air – jet spun cotton, which was spun smoothly by the newly developed Rieter J 20 air – jet spinning machine is now in the market. The structure of cylindirical coils provides excellent processing behaviour. For an optimal fiber coupling, it has a good pilling feature which retains the perfect appearance of the fabric even after numerous washes. It has a lower level of shrinkage than the conventional ring yarn. It is indicated that besides soft and smooth appearance of the Comforjet Yarn, it is said to save sizing agent and dye costs.
