Picanol, which offers new solutions in the field of weaving for technical fabrics, manufactured its 20.000th OptiMax rapier-weaving machine at its plant Yves, Belgium. Today, the OptiMax is considered as the most advanced and fastest rapier-weaving machine on the market with its speeds of up to 700 picks per minute. Providing high-speed and high-efficiency in the field of weaving, Picanol increased its market share by submitting its positive gripper version of OptiMax. It is available in all widths (up to 540 cm), in particular it opened new perspectives in technical segments such as coating fabrics, primary and secondary carpet backing and geogrids.
