Of generated fiber manufacturers, Önal Elyaf is extending their operations and product range with new investments. Having a Certificate of Non-hazardous Waste Recovery granted by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the company has determined the year 2012 as the year of extending the production facilities and increasing capacity. Önal Elyaf will perform the production of open-end yarns as well as regenerated fiber in their 3rd facilities to be opened.
Önal Elyaf, which started to operate in Çerkezköy in 1996, has sustained their strong position in Thrace Region, with the 2nd facilities opened in Uşak in 2010. The company supplies the fibers produced there, to the firms producing open-end yarns and blankets. Supplying fibers in 81 colours and mixes, the firm entered into their 3rd investment for open-end yarn production, following fiber. It has been stated that, in the plant with an area of 50 thousand square meters in Uşak Industrial Zone, the construction process has been completed and the installment of machinery lines is continuing.
It has been explained that open-end yarn production will be commenced in summer season in the plant with a closed area of 25 thousand square meters. With this new plant, the company will increase their annual production capacity from 8500 tones up to 24.000 tones. In addition, the number of employees will rise up to 200-250. It is emphasized that, in the facilities, the production of open-end yarns as well as regenerated fiber will be performed and yarns from NE13 to Ne 30 will be produced. The yarns to be produced by Önal Elyaf, will be provided particularly to garment factories.
