The manufacturer of high efficient two-for-one twisting machine and direct cabling machine, Oerlikon Saurer is to participate in textile and nonwovens exhibition CINTE 2012 held every two years. In the exhibition to be held in October 22nd and 24th in Shanghai, the company will exhibit Allma Production Lines to the visitors and present its innovations in tire cord and industrial yarns. Saurer, the manufacturer of Allma and Volkmann production lines, will bring Allma TC2 which is for technical yarns, energy efficient Allma CC4 and highly flexible Allma CC3. Allma Production Line, world’s largest brand of twisting and cabling systems, is recognized as the technology performing 65% of global tire cord production.
Developed for technical yarns to be used by technical textiles, Allma TC2 has high technological equipment as a two-for-one twisting machine. The machine reaches an unprecedented productivity of up to 450 m/min delivery speed. The machine concept offers ultimate flexibility in production, material and yarn counts. Thus, customers can quickly react to market requirements and produce even the smallest lots or samples economically. The machine enables thin and thick materials such as machine polyester (PES), polyamide (PA), rayon (CV), aramid (AR), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) to be processed according to the amount, number characteristics demanded by customers.
In addition to these features, the new winding system Allma PrimePac consists of 2 twisted coils. The density of coils can be increased by up to 25% depending on the material and number. With the machine providing up to 25 percent higher packages density compared to packages wound on other twisting machines, customers can reduce the work involved in packaging and have better and smoother yarns.
Energy Saving and Flexibility Makes a Difference
The other important weapon of Oerlikon Saurer at CINTE is Allma CC4. Direct cabling machine Allma with energy savings of up to 50% was awarded in 2011. The revolutionary technology in this field allows manufacturers to achieve significant reductions in costs. Widely preferred in the production of tire cord, the machine has further advantages including 50% fewer thread breaks, 50% lower heating load and a considerably reduced noise level.
Allma engineers have developed an energy-saving retrofit package for the Allma CC3 for existing machines. Customers can reduce costs on energy-save modus with an easy to install conversion to cabling machine unit.
With the Allma CC3-Combi, noted for high flexibility, tire cord, cap ply, chafer or other technical yarns can be cabled or twisted as required. Providing 1-3 times high quality production, the machine has a production speed of 120m/min. Contributing to the reduction of staff, Allma CC3 has equal-length coils and the flexibility to work with the highest quality even in the most sensitive materials.
Oerlikon Saurer, which is a part of OC Oerlikon, manufactures Saurer brand, manufacturer of high-quality embroidery machines, in Arbon (Switzerland), Allma series in Kempten (Germany) and Volkmann brand in Krefeld (Germany). OC Oerlikon with a history of one hundred years, is a global player with more than 17 000 employees at over 150 locations in 38 countries. Performing sales of CHF 4.2 billion in 2011, Oerlikon invested CHF 213 million in R&D the same year.
