Oerlikon Neumag which is one of the biggest manufacturers of textile machines and has a strong a position in the global market with the innovative technologies created for yarn machineries introduced its new compact staple fibre series Staple Force S 1000 which consists of nonwoven and staple fibre technologies including melt-spun, spun-bond and air-laid nonwovens. These technologies which have special technical use such as filtration, roofing, geotextiles, automotive and hygiene practices change known practice deeply.
Staple Force S 1000 which has a compact structure and production volume up to 15 tons on a daily basis allows faster colour changes in the product with relatively low waste. Energy and water saving thanks to dry drawing process ensures decrease in process costs and also protects environment. The option of the system to be established on a standard industrial floor helps minimising the investment costs.
About the newly promoted technology, Michael Korobczuk, ManMade Fibre Sales Director of Oerlikon said that: “Effective –flexible – compact: these are considerably effective factors which create new and diverse market potentials for our customers. Staple Force S 1000 is not only associated with the fibre manufacturers focusing on the special applications and sales “in demand” and helps nonwoven manufacturers integrate the fibre production into their production processes.”
Technical Spun-bond Technology
Oerlikon Neumag offers complete applications from polymer chips to rotating products by manufacturing substrate for unit roofing membranes, greenhouse wooden membranes and geotextiles. Single-stage spun-bond technology reduces production costs by 20 % and stands out with efficiency and productivity combination. Production of more than 3 million tons of technical nonwoven last year and rapid increase in this demand prove the importance of spun-bond technology once more.
Melt-blown Technology
Oerlikon Neugmag’s melt-blown technology ensures manufacturing of the high quality meltblown and SMS (spunbond – meltblown – spunbond) products at cost effective prices. Independent mono and biko meltblown plants also manufacture nonwoven for such applications as filtration, isolation and sorbent.
Meltblown technology is applied on various medical and hygiene products with “Insert&Manufacture” installations in the existing and new SXS plants. This solution ensures the development of the new or existing spunbond plants at cost-effective prices as well as helping the nonwoven manufacturers reach the markets where high quality demands are abundant.
Air-Laid Technology
Oerlikon Neumag determines the production standards of the air-laid nonwovens which have a highly fine shaping head as the basis of its air-laid technology. Nowadays, high uniformity and homogeneous cheesecloth formation ensure the manufacturing of lightly air-laid nonwovens at economically effective production rates and plant sizes. Thanks to its new shaping head, it can manufacture both lightly air-laid materials and combination nonwovens by using the plant capacity in full and saving raw materials.
