The 160 years of Saurer history finds a continuation with the divestment of all the natural fiber components of OC Oerlikon to the Chinese investor Pan Xueping Jinheng Group. The New Saurer Group has a sales volume of CHF 1 Billion with 3800 employees. It was stated that New Saurer Group will take over all production units in Europe, USA and Asia. Continuity with focus on value for customers, innovation and employee development are the main focus of the new leadership team acting out of Europe and Asia.
4 European and 3 Asian directors will come together in the new management unit of Saurer Group. Heinrich Fischer who has worked as the CEO of Saurer Group became the chairman and the other names of the management unit are as follows: Hans-Georg Harter (CEO of ZF since 2012), Rudolf Huber (CEO of Geberit since 2005), Georg Fischer (member of the board of directors, Chairman of Looser), Guido Spix (CTO Multivac), Pan Xueping (main investor and founder of Jinsheng Group), Jesse Guan (Chairman of CNC Machines included in Jinsgehng Group). It was explained that the operations would be managed by the current management team of OC Oerlikon Natural Fiber and Components Unit. It was also declared that Daniel Lippuner who was the previous CEO of Components Business Unit was commissioned as the new CEO of Saurer Group. Lippuner worked as executive at different positions in Hilti prior to his experience of 6 years.
Jinsheng Group made investment on four independent fields. CNC Machines has an investment rate of 50 % in German EMAG Group. This group supports the business of Jinsheng Group in Asia in terms of growth in the fields such as cotton yarn spinning and recycling, real estate, HIV, alcohol and drug tests etc. This organic growth brought a profit amount of 1 billion sweden franc in 12 years and the number of employees became 5 thousand. Making a longstanding business partnership with Saurer and OC Oerlikon, Jinsheng Group obtained a significant and sound information and experience in the textile industry. Stating their target as opening a new and successful page in front of Saurer, the authorities also expressed that they want to maintain their leadership in the field of textile manufacturers by increasing their powers, to offer first quality service and developed products to their clients as well as to set a longlasting strategy in this regard.
