Determining the trends in the electronic jacquard machines design and production, Van De Wiele shares its experience and expertise with the textile sector together with Bonas, Iro-Roj, Memminger-Iro, Titan and Protechna found within its body. Standing out with the quality of the machines produced, the firm put Velvet Smart Innovator series (VSI), the new generation velvet weaving machine, into the service of the textile sector. VSI series which ensure full electronic control and provide the opportunity of expanding the weaving length up to 3 meters, consists of VSI 22 for plain and geometric-designed fabrics, VSI 32 for jacquard velvetand VSI 42 for technical fabrics.
Having a wide range of application areas including upholstery fabrics for armchairs, curtains and pillows, paint brushes, bus seat trim, light composite materials and airbags, VSI series allows for conducting the shedding opening process, where the smart frames with servomotor drive system developed with the experience of Van de Wiele in the field of carpet weaving are used, in a completely electronic manner.
In VSI series where the shedding opening process can be controlled and adjusted under full electronic control, independently and without the need for any mechanical interventions, it is possible to make electronic adjustments depending on the quality of the raw material and experience level of the operator. All the changes made by the operator are stored in the memory of the machine and transition between the settings can be rapid. Thanks to the software interface used in the series, the power can be adjusted with the movement of the rapier machine in order to prevent incorrect adjustments and probable yarn breaks during the first operation. In this way, the operators can use different settings in a rapid and easy manner and high weaving efficiency, fast quality change and increased flexibility are ensured.
Servomotor Technology
In VSI 32 equipped with a servomotor, which eliminates the necessity for a mechanical connection between the weaving machine and jacquard, there is no limit in the jacquard capacity. Since there is no mechanical connection, the burden on the weaving machine is reduced and VSI 32 can reach higher production speeds. The servo drive system allows for changing the timing between jacquard and velvet machine with a single touch. Besides, thanks to the “smart cutting” found in VSI 32, the blade movements are programmed to reach optimal cutting quality and the cutting frequency and grinding range can be controlled electronically. In the series which has a new weft insertion system, re-designed hooked heads, stable weft cutting system, stable hook guide and weft selector up to 2X4 colours, high production speed, higher productivity rate and fast weft change are focussed and developed in order to maximal yield.
Developed to manufacture all kinds of technical fabrics, VSI 42 is equipped with 2 needle cylinders with drive systems ensuring optimum transfer of the fabric and can reach maximal yield in the production process. Using special and yarn guide applications in order to conduct weaving with sensitive technical yarns via smart cutting, VSI 42 aims at fulfilling the deficiency in this field.
