New President of CIRFS Is Necat Altın

Necat Altın, President of Zorlu Textile Group which is one of most important agents of textile sector was chosen as the president of CIRFS. Chosen by unanimous vote, Necat Altın took over the portfolio from Heinz Meirekord, CEO of Advansa. Altın who will maintain the duty of presidentship for three years in the name of CIRFS whose headquarter is in Brussels, became the second president from Turkey choses after Ömer Sabancı who is the Member of the Board of Sabancı Holding. Brussels based CIRFS, represents the manufacturers of artificial and synthetic fiber and yarn. Association in which big part of Turkish manufacturers are the members covers a sector that carries out, 10 billion Euro turnover and 4, 4 million tons of yarn and fiber production per year. CIRF members meet 90% of European need at polyester, polyamide (nylon), acrylic, cellulosic and various special yarn and fiber production.

‘I Will Carry Activities One Step Forward’

Necat Altın who states he is proud of being chosen for the presidentship of CIRFS which manufactures more than 80% of synthetic fibers in Europe and represents 10 billion Euro European fiber sector, makes the following explanations: “CEO of Advansa, Heinz Mirekord showed how a key role CIRF plays for the sector during his task as president. And I want to state that I am happy o carry these activities one step forward in my duty I had with this mission.”
