Lenzing which speeds up its home textile works through its theme named “Good Feeling Fiber”, became the first fiber that used ‘Medically Tested for Toxins’ (FKT) label with the Fördergemeinschaft test carried out by Körperverträgliche Textilien E.V labaratory. FKT ‘Medically Tested for Toxins’ label is defines as a reliable quality label which shows it doesn’t include any chemicals that irritates skin or damage health.
Susanne Jary who is the Marketing Manager of Lenzing Home Textiles expressed that they focused on fast growing home textile market as the company and she kept on her words “As the company, we continue to develop new products for creating comfortable and healthy people. Thanks to its high humidity rate and skin sensitive feature highlight Tencel much more at home textile. Tencel soaking 50% more humidity than cotton, thanks to its smooth fiber structure, prevents skin irritation naturally. Due to these kind of reasons, we took FKT label for our fiber”.
The Member of The Board of Fördergemeinschaft Körperverträgliche Textilien (FKT), Prof. Dr. Michael Doser said that it was quiet an important step to carry out cooperation with Lenzing for developing of FKT label in textile industry and he added “FKT label is certainly a reliable quality specialty for scientific and free tested textiles”.
