Korteks, one of Europe's leading integrated and innovative polyester yarn production centers, which continues to grow its sustainability-focused investments, participated in the Hometex 2022 Fair. At Hometex Fair, Korteks exhibited polyester yarns produced from plastic bottles to the participants.
Korteks, which achieved the first both in Europe and Turkey with the Polymer Recycling Facility commissioned with an investment of 10 million dollars in line with the Smart Life 2030 strategy of Zorlu Group, which transformed sustainability into a novel way of doing business, attracted great interest from the visitors with the polyester yarns produced from 100% plastic bottles at this facility.
Korteks Stand was Amongst the Most Visited with Product Exhibits
With the yarn obtained from the recycled bottles at the Polymer Recycling Facility, which has a monthly production capacity of 600 tons in a total closed area of 17.000 m², Korteks virgin PES yarn facility produces with zero production waste. To domestic and foreign customers; offering a wide range of products produced with an environmentally friendly production method that can be used in all areas where polyester is used, from clothing to home textiles and to automotive, Korteks was one of the most visited stands at the fair.
In addition, Korteks presented TAÇ UV Resistant, Automotive Yarns, DRY TOUCH®, Recycle and variety of touch yarns with many functional features to the visitors at the Hometex Fair.
All of the production facilities of Korteks, one of the leading production facilities in Turkey, with approximately 2,300 employees, have been designed in a structure n which it can be possible to manufacture qualitative and special filament yarns such as 'high count'.
