Kordsa Global which is the world’s leader industrial yarn and cord fabric manufacturer explained its second quarter financial results of 2015 which composes April- May- June period. Total sales income of Kordsa Global which obtained 11.4% of increase at its total sales when compared to the previous period, reached 869 million TL at the end of first half. While net profit of second quarter of 2015 reached to 34, 2 million TL, main activity profit was carried out as 47, 6 million TL at the same period.
Cenk Alper who is the CEO of Kordsa Global underlined their satisfaction of the profitability caught in 2014 at the second quarter. He emphasized that Kordsa Global would continue its profitability by increasing in 2015 which maintained its success accordingly to the targets budgeted. Cenk Alper who stated that there wasn’t any change at their foresight for final year of 2015, said that 10- 20% of increase at sales and 25- 35 % of increase at EBITDA were expected.
“2015 is Positive”
Alper who said that second quarter of 2015 resulted positive for Kordsa Global, said ‘’We got in return for not only in financial meaning but also our effect to the stock exchange and contributions to technology manufacture. 2015 which started with growth trend registered the success of Kordsa Global in the sense of financial indication at the second quarter. Although the fragility course at money market, Kordsa Global who realized 77% of its sales on dollar and 23% of its sales on euro presented performance beyond it targeted by being affected positively from this situation’’.
Alper who stated that Kordsa Global deserved to enter Istanbul 100 index as a result of reaching 29% to the range ratio to stock exchange, increasing process volume and increase the market value at the first half of 2015, explained that they paid 68 million TL dividend to their partners within the period.
Kordsa is at The Sixth Range at Turkish Patent League
Besides, as a result of innovations and the R&D studies they maintained at Kordsa Global R&D Center since 2008, Alper who added his words that their patent portfolio reached to 236 said ‘’In the Turkish Patent League in which we were at the 10th range last year, we have the proud of reaching 6th range with 15 application by raising 4 steps more. We started the investment of Composite Technologies Perfectness Center which we will put into use in 2016 with the collaboration with Sabancı University. With this investment, we will reach the manufacture capacity of high composite material Technologies manufacture which creates a transformation from aviation to automotive’’.
“Our Position in Asia Got Strong”
Alper who stated that they reached an important position in Asia thanks to the plant in Indonesia that they engaged at the beginning of 2015, said ‘’We ranked among the top three at HMLS Polyester yarn and cloth league. We target to fill this 18 kilo tons of additional capacity with our new generation yarn manufacture perfection within 3 years. Some of the regions that we have manufacture plants have difficult market conditions. Our Brazil plant is affected from the slowdown of the country economy and the negativeness at money markets. Low quality and low prices Chinese products enter to USA plays role at shaping the market. Despite all of these, demand increase in Europe and Asia and powerful market dynamics eliminate these negative effects’’.
