Sabancı Holding affiliate Kordsa participated in the 6th Private Sector R & D and Design Centres’ Summit, which was held at the ATO Congresium on the dates of December 20-21, 2017 under the theme “Development with R & D and Innovation”. At the award ceremony based on the R & D Centres’ 5th Performance Index Results, the company was awarded first prize in the textile category. Kordsa CEO Mr. Ali Çalışkan received the award from Mr. Faruk Özlü, the Minister of Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.
In his assessments regarding the award Mr. Çalışkan quoted as follows; “R & D and innovation are the foundation of how we perceive our business. Our global innovation partnerships and projects, which we have implemented through our distinct innovation approach, reinforce our ‘Innovation Leadership’ title. Today we have reached to the position where we are exporting technology to the world and in the coming years we will continue with pride to make both our company’s’ as well as our country’s name known throughout the global arena.”
Alongside the award, Mr. Çalışkan was also presented a certificate for the Centre of Excellence of Composite Technologies, which had obtained certification as a R & D Centre by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. This centre operates as the second R & D centre of Kordsa.
