Itema, which is global supplier of weaving solutions including such fields as weaving machinery, spare parts and integrated systems, announced ''Itema Academy'' and ''Itemalab''.
In April 2014, Itema Academy will start to train personnel to meet the need of qualified employee that the textile sector always needs. CEO of Itema, Carlo Rogora stated that the need of qualified personnel experienced in all the world cause the decrease of the capacity utilization rate in companies. Stating that the sector needs materials, machinery and personnel not only for quality production but also only for production, Rogora said that it is not possible to reach to the desired level of capacity utilization in case of the lack of qualified personnel and that they started such a work in order to avoid these negative situations.
Rogora added that they would increase R&D investments with Itema Academy and Itemalab. Starting from March, they aim to reach new frontiers with Itemalab which will join a host of fields in a newly created laboratory inside Kilometro Rosso, Science & Technology Park just outside Bergamo.
New Investments
New investments were reached 3 million Euros and it is considered that these investments will reach to 6 million Euros until the end of 2014. Itema, which generally focuses on product's quality and reliability, targets at meeting the market demands more rapidly by working with the first supply chain among its worldwide production plants in line with lean production principles and realizing an increase up to 166 % in global demands compared to the previous year only with a minimal increase in labour force.
Itema showed an increase of 70 per cent according to the reports of close of the year and the authorities, who pointed out to the fact that the consolidated net turnover obtained from sales of weaving machines, the consolidated net profit and cash flow exceeded significantly the expectations, said that the success of R9500 Rapier Weaving Machine has a great importance in these developments.
The authorities added that the amount of delivery to China was doubled since the beginning of 2013 compared to the same period in last year and these developments provided that the customers realized the quality of the products produced by Itema. It was stated that the sales of P7300Hp were tripled compared to 2012 and Itema reached to the expected figures in the field of spare parts despite the results of crisis experienced in Europe.
