At the same time, Atın Iplik which is the first plant being able to manufacture socks from polyamide chips, manufactures 6.000 tons of yarn with 12 million dozens of socks on 60.000 square meter closed area in Cerkezkoy. Altın Iplik that exports hosiery and yarn for above 40 countries in 5 continents carries out 60% of its export to Europe and Northern America countries.
With the solution system called Infor which offers service for over 73 thousands of people in 194 countries at software subject, Altın Iplik shortened its delivery time 60%. Responsible Vice General Director of Altın Iplik Corap, Nahit Ozcan who said they were satisfied with Infor LN as it balances order requirements and optimizes and controls work orders and tasks at each stage also said ‘’ We simplified manufacture process by reducing error number as well as increased flexibility. It helped us to follow all materials and products clearer. Now, above 50.000 item is being watch in the system and in spite of this, error rates are under 1/ 40.000. Two week process from nylon raw material to packaged socks production fell only 3 days. We achieved to reduce stock level which equals to 2 months production capacity. With the warrant of 80% purchasing given by our customers, our stock is about at 1 month production capacity now’’.
Ozcan who stated that they believed to start for work by determining the best ways of handling the weak spot by carefully analyzing current processes, also said ‘’ We focused on key criterion which has a vital importance for our effectiveness. LN helped us to reduce delivery time to 2 weeks from 6 weeks. Process costs are followed with LN and company got 18% development at process costs by using this system’’.
World’s first hosiery integrated facility
Ozcan who gave information for Textile World Publication Group on manufacture processes of Altın Iplik, said ‘’ We are the firm which has the first hosiery integrated facility of the world. That’s to say, we manufacture yarn before polyamide chips and then we use this yarn on hosiery manufacture. Our process that starts with knitting gets ready for shipping with packaging’’. Ozcan who said they used Italian brand hosiery manufacture machines at their production also said ‘’ We care about using high technology by buying new machines or by modifying our current machines’’.
Ozcan who stated that they completed their investment they required in the midst of 2014 as being Altın Iplik and increased their production capacity about 40% when compared to 2013, he also said ‘’ Altın Iplik, as of today, is a firm which has 6.000 tons of yarn production with 12 million dozens of socks and works full capacity. Company exports 60% of its total capacity for especially European and Northern America countries. More than 1.500 people is employed within the company. Turnover of our group which carries out yarn and socks production is about 80 million Euro. We target a 15% more growth in 2015’’.

Country Manager of Infor, Yasemin Giden who said that textile was a complicated industry due to its structure also said ‘’ Consumer expectations and marketplace conditions are making this process more complicated.
