Achieving a net profit of TL 257 million in the last quarter of 2020 and TL 439 million in total, Aksa Akrilik increased its profitability by 58 percent compared to 2019.
Sharing his views on the subject, Aksa Akrilik Board Member and General Manager Cengiz Taş stated that they left behind past year with a huge success despite the difficult conditions of 2020, which was present under the effect of the pandemic. Commenting on the rise in profitability, Taş said; “We managed to maintain financial sustainability in the uncertainty environment caused by the epidemic. In 2020, we managed to produce at full capacity throughout the year, except for the second quarter. On the other hand, thanks to our investment in the amount of TL 408 million during the year we contributed strategically to Turkey's economy and employment in export. We conduct one fifth of the world's acrylic fiber production on our own. Despite such a challenging year, we are happy to once again give cash dividends to our shareholders, as achieved in recent years.
