Turkish Firms Drew Attention in Texworld

Texworld USA which is the biggest ready-wear fabric fair of the American Continent was organised in Javits Fair Center in New York on 14-16 January 2013. Almost doubling the number of its participants in comparison to the previous year (by 47 %), the fair hosted 238 firms from 16 countries. Drawing great attention from China, South Korea, India and the USA, the event hosted Turkey, Belarux and Taiwan with their national pavillions for the first time. The number of visitors was recorded as 3.627. Organisation was visited by overseas countries as well as such close countries as Bresil, Colombia, Mexico. Fabric collections displayed by many firms were appreciated by the visitors. Besides, Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamaud, the French Art Directors, also introduced their trend works. In addition to detailed presentations about summer trends of 2014 Spring, visitors were informed about such topics as color selections. The summer edition of the event will be held on 16-18 July 2013.

Seminar Program was followed with interest

Texworld USA hosted the three-day academical seminar program prepared by Lenzing Innovation. The seminar included many studies ranging from obtaining fund, fashion trends and sustainability to technologies. In the seminars where many expert visitors and journalists made presentations, such topics as “Overview to Fast Wear Retailers and Obtaining Fund”, “Underwear and Fabrics”, “Spring/Summer 2014 Colors”, “Politics of Fashion: Impacts of Selections on Textile Sector”, “Obtaining Fund and Supply Chain”, “How a Fashion Brand Comes Out” stood out.

Turkish Firms Presented their Special Fabrics

10 Turkish firms exhibited their new fabric trends in 2013 January edition of Texworld USA. Turkish Pavillion which was supported by UTIB (Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Association) drew a great attention. A member of UTIB, Hilmi Gülcemal, made evaluations in the event and emphasized that Turkey, as the biggest textile manufacturer of Europe, is also an important cotton and synthetic fiber manufacturer. Reporting that Turkey is country which exports fabrics in a quality range from moderate to high to more than 180 countries and commercial regions, Gülcemal expressed that Turkish firms taking part in Texworld USA can introduce their products to the market at a high level in terms of both quality and supply. Firms taking part in Texworld USA are listed as follows:

Berra Tekstil

Founded in 2002 by Erol Kara, Berra Textile has been exporting fabric to the global market since 2005. Making production in an area covering a closed area of 5500 square meters, the firm exports to such countries as Greece, England, USA, France and Italy. It manufactures single jersey, lycra jersey, jacquard jersey, pique, lacoste, cardigan, yarn dyed, interlock, rib, camisole, two yarn and three thread. Having a successful edition in Texworld USA, the firm exhibited one of its collections to the visitors.

BZ Jakarlı Dokuma

BZ Jakarlı Dokuma is known as an active woven fabric manufacturer.  Manufacturing in Bursa, the firm exhibited the woven jacquard fabrics in the fair in line with its expertise. Including thousands of pattern alternatives woven with yarns containing viscone, cotton, polyester, nylon in its product range, the firm exports to many countries in the global arena.

Grup Tekstil

Fancy knits used for women's apparel, compositions include rayon, polyester, polyamide, acetate, acetate and polyamide, viscose and crepe yarns were exhibited by Grup Textile which hosted its visitors at the booth no.575. With its recent construction investments, Grup Tekstil serves on an open area covering 51.00 square meters and a closed area of 18.000 square meters.

Konak Tül Perde

Konak Tül Perde which operates in Istanbul makes production in fancy fabrics & laces. Exporting to important countries in the global arena, the firm shared its special collection of 2014 summer with the visitors.

Kotonteks Tekstil

Annual capacity of Kotonteks is 10 million meters in dyed-yarn and plain yarn and it operates in its two factories covering a total area of 20.000 square meters in Bursa Demirtas Industrial Region. Fabrics produced by the firm largely contain cotton, viscose, rayon viscose, polyester, linen, nylon and stretch elastane yarns and their blends. Manufacturing with the principle of serving its worldwide clients with the most reasonable prices, in the shortest delivery time and in the best quality, the firm exhibited its works appealing to women in the fair, in particular.

Lale Mefruşat

Having a 44 years of experience in the home textile industry, the firm uses the machines of Karl Mayer. Specialised in jacquard knitting, Lale Mefruşat manufactures in its plant in İstanbul Çatalca. Growing with new investments, Lale Mefruşat diversified its product range with such fabric types as Fantasy – Jacquard and Dobby Weave cutting organza, voile, tulle, taffeta, double and silk tulle, burn-out in addition to the Somet Alfa and Dornier looms. The firm mostly introduced its women’s outerwear products in the event.

Larma Tekstil

Founded in 2008 in Denizli, Larma Tekstil manufactures woven cotton and cotton blended fabrics for use in clothing, home textile, furnishing as well as finished home textile products including bed linens, table cloths, kitchen items etc. The company offers a wide variety of applications including dyeing, printing, finishing and special treatment. Larma Tekstil exhibited 100% cotton and cotton blended, dyed, printed, specially finished fabrics as well as non-denim bottoms for women, men and children.

Mayteks Örme

In its production area covering 20.000 square meters, Mayteks has 900 tons of knitting and 600 tons of dyeing-finishing capacity in its own factories. Mayteks is trading with the best-known companies all over the world thanks to its high technologies and it has a well-known profile with its high quality production, high service quality, professional management and specialised staff. At Texworld USA, it exhibited knitted fabrics made out of both printed and non-printed cotton, viscone, polyester or other fibers.

Parlamış Tekstil

Established in Bursa, Parlamış Textile is among the most important fabric manufacturers of Turkey. Manufacturing the seat fabrics of Turkish Airlines, Boeing and Airbus planes, the firm manufactures its products in an area covering 6.000 closed area. Its product range includes yarn dyed fabrics, stripes and checks, 100% viscose, poly-cotton, viscose crepe pieces, dyed fabrics, flocks and prints. The company also offers fashion woven plain items with different kind of structures upon demands of clients. Having made a successful presentation in the fair, the firm was particularly appreciated for its fabrics used in men’s and women’s wear.

Ünaş Tekstil

Ünaş Tekstil has been operating in the sector of wedding dress since 2007. Exhibiting its productions in this field, the firm drew a great attention. Ünaş Tekstil exhibited its fabrics, laces and accessories for wedding dresses and other wedding clothes in the event.
