In Japan's capital Tokyo, the fashion show "Turkey's Fashion World" organized by Yunus Emre Institute, received great attention.

In the fashion show organized by Yunus Emre Institute in Tokyo, clothes that were prepared together by Ankara Maturation Institute and Japanese Bunka Gakuen Fashion University were exhibited.

At the statement made by Tokyo Yunus Emre Turkish Culture Center, they specified that they aim to introduce the Turkish fashion and Turkish fabrics in Japan and for this purpose the fashion show was held with the collaboration of Yunus Emre Institute and Bunka Gakuen Fashion University.

With the support of various exporters association from Turkey, there was an intense interest to the event which aims to promote the Turkish textile in Japan, by the Japanese fashion and textile sector and famous fashion designers such as Kansai Yamamoto.

In the collection, exhibited in the fashion show, while 36 pieces were presented such as regional outfits and kaftans which belongs to Bursa, Elazığ, Mardin, Bodrum and Çorum regions, lace embroidered dresses, wedding dresses and elegant dresses, Bunka Gakuen Fashion University students introduced their own design Men's clothing made ​​from Turkish fabrics.

Japanese line to modern fashion

After the fashion show which was held in Paris in 1981,Yohji Yamamato who has brought to Asian simplicity and straightforwardness to the concept of modern fashion, comes as a leading inspirational Japanese fashion designer. As a creator of Y's brand, he has boutiques in New York and Paris which are fashion center.

Selling over $100 million his brands, he comes to the forefront with avant-garde style. Especially, it can be seen his signature in black colour, oversized silhouette and drapery fabrics. He has been working well-known brands like Adidas and Hermès. Furthermore, Japanese fashion designer who also is designing artist clothes like Elton John, Placebo, Heiner Miller, is planning to open a branches in Istanbul and Berlin. Yamamato who visits Istabul so often, has said that the city will become major fashion center in future and he thinks to ought to have a boutique.
