Sustainability, circular economy and environmental protection theme will play a key role for the second time in the organization of Domotex, the meeting point of the global carpet and floor covering industry, which will be held in Hannover, Germany, between 11-14 January 2024. Additionally, the Green Collection award ceremony will take place in the Domotex special area of the fair and nature-inspired designs will be rewarded in 4 different categories. An international jury of experts will examine the presented exhibitions, make a preliminary selection and ensure about their exhibits in the Green Collection section throughout the fair. This year, TFI Aachen Director Dr. Jacqueline Lemm will chair the jury. Amongst the jury members will also be Kemp Harr, publisher of the sectoral magazine Floor Focus, and Reto Aschwanden, General Manager of the non-profit organization Label STEP.
Underlining that sustainability should become an increasingly prevalent topic today, Domotex Global Director Sonia Wedell-Castellano said, “In our world where natural resources are increasingly used up and the affects of the climate crisis begin directly affecting our lives, sustainability needs to be made an integral part of the work we do in every field. For this reason, at Domotex, we decided to maintain and expand the scope of our special area called 'The Green Collection' with our value-driven main theme called ‘Floored by Nature’ (sustainable production inspired by the nature)." While emphasizing on the studies which will continue on sustainability, TFI Aachen Director and this year's Green Collection Award Jury President Dr. Jacqueline Lemm said, "We are confident that Domotex will meet the expectations of visitors, especially in the The Green Collection special area located in the 23rd hall, with outstanding promotions and innovative products, as well as current research projects and an inspiring conference program."
