Texprocess Americas exhibition, held for the first time on 24th-26th April, reached a number of participants and visitors over expectations. The target of around 4 thousand visitors before the event was exceeded by 6.800 visitors from 68 countries. 161 manufacturers from 11 countries participated in the first edition of exhibition and presented their innovative products to visitors.
Texprocess Americas exhibition was organized along with Techtextil America held with the cooperation of Messe Frankfurt and SPESA (Products Equipment & Suppliers of the Americas). The exhibition brought together best sewn products and manufacturers of derivative equipments. In the exhibition, many products were presented and prominent segments were; software, information technologies, digital technology, transfer print parts, embroidery materials, vacuum lateral materials, labeling, sewing, fabric types, recycling and sustainability services, academic publications, warehousing, distribution materials.
In the organization, attracting worldwide interest with the brand Texprocess Americas; groups operating in fields such as automotive, transportation, composites, aeration and space, floor coverings, shoes and leather products, fashion, apparel and garment industry, households, medical products, products used in military, sportswear, plastic bottle industry, protective products, textile processing industry, uniforms participated as well. In terms of countries, Germany and China were represented by one country pavilion.
A Great Majority of Participants are Members of VDMA
Detlef Braun, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt fair organization who provided explanations on the issue said; “Texprocess, impressing with an innovative exhibition model, has become the first meeting point of high technology in worldwide garment and textile processing industry”. Braun emphasized that with Techtextil that focused on nonwoven and technical textile products, a strict integration was initiated and he continued; “Texprocess Americas 2012 exhibition was held in parallel with Techtextil North America 2012 exhibition. The two exhibitions, Texprocess and Techtextil allowed the formation of the same synergy formed previously in Frankfurt in 2011, in the USA as well. As the two exhibitions cover wide areas of textile value chain together, more productive results are attained. This range extends from fibers, technical textiles and composite substances to textile processing technologies, software and information technology. It was explained that a great majority of Texprocess Americas participants are members of VDMA. Initial companies participating from VDMA are; Dürkopp Adler, Ferd.Schmetz, Groz-Beckert, Human Solutions, KSL Keilmann Sondermaschinenbau, Pfaff and Veit.
Evaluating the organization, Elgar Straub, VDMA Secretary General, made important statements. “Texprocess Americas exceeded our members’ expectations,” said Elgar Straub, General Secretary of Federation of German Apparel and Leather Machinery Manufacturers and reported: “There were many visitors from North, Central and South America who are authorized to take important decisions, in the exhibition. In an environment where technical textiles market is growing rapidly all over the world, coexistence of these two exhibition formats fully meets the needs of international market. Now, we are very optimistically waiting for the second Texprocess event, Frankfurt exhibition to be held on 10th-13th June 2013”.
Organizers stated that application period for the next Texprocess in Frankfurt has started and many international market leaders have already applied for participating the exhibition. The authorities explained that early-registration campaign continues up to 30th June 2012. The next organization will be held in Frankfurt on 10th-13th June. And the next Texprocess Americas exhibition will be organized in Atlanta on 13th-15th May 2014 in parallel with Techtextil North America exhibition.
