Textile, Woven, Yarn, Finishing, Knitting, Hosiery Machines, Side Industries and Chemicals Fair TEXPO EURASIA 2014 was held on 26-29 March in Tüyap Exhibition Centre. 11th International Istanbul Yarn Fair was also held at the same time. For both fairs, 552 companies and company representatives from 36 countries attended the events. The fair was inaugurated by Adil Nalbant, Chairman of TEMSAD, İsmail Gülle, Board Chairman of ITHIB, Adnan Dalgakıran, Vice Chairman of Istanbul Chamber of Industry and Bülent Ünal, Board Chairman of Tüyap.
Texpo Eurasia 2014, which is a meeting platform of textile industry in Turkey and Eurasia Region, continues to be an important special fair in which the latest innovations, side industry, textile chemicals in the fields of weaving, yarn, finishing, knitting, hosiery manufacturing technologies and machinery are exhibited together. The event provided an opportunity for the managers and purchasing agents of the leading companies in the textile sector attending from Turkey and foreign countries. The new technologies, which offer high energy efficiency and decrease the amount of waste product to the minimum level in production process, were presented to sector professionals. Purchase groups from numerous textile regions within Turkey including Kahramanmaraş, Denizli, Bursa, Çorlu, Çerkezköy, Adana, Afyon, Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep visited the fair in addition to the purchase groups from foreign countries and textile federations.
The International Istanbul Yarn Fair, which is held for the 11th time this year, targets to obtain a place among the most important yarn fairs. Aiming at bringing together the international yarn sector in Istanbul, the International Istanbul Yarn Fair, where the exhibitors and visitors from various countries around the world came together, was held as a sales and marketing platform by giving direction to the global yarn trade. Not only the most important yarn producers of Turkey but also the other ones attending from foreign countries as well as the brokerage firms engaged in international yarn trade took part in this year's fair. The Turkish yarn sector, which ranks first in Europe and third in the world in terms of production, found the opportunity of reaching new markets and distribution channels by preserving its current export volume through the Istanbul Yarn Fair.
