Texcare 2024 Presents the Concentrated Innovative Power of the International Textile Care Industry

Texcare International is set to bring together the world of textile care in Frankfurt am Main over the coming four days. 305 companies from 32 countries have seized this opportunity to showcase the innovative strength of their industry. With the spotlight on automation and energy efficiency, the leading trade fair for the sector will provide a host of insights into the future of laundries, dry-cleaners and textile-service companies.

Technological innovations and the latest developments in the textile care sector are the focus of Texcare International in Frankfurt am Main from 6 to 9 November. Altogether, 305 exhibitors from 32 countries are taking part. With 72 percent of exhibitors coming from outside Germany, this trade fair is the industry's global meeting place. The ten largest exhibitor nations are Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, the United States, China, Belgium, Türkiye, Great Britain, Switzerland and Spain. They will be showcasing a wide range of products, from dry-cleaning and laundry technology, via detergents and cleaning agents, to professional textiles, workwear and protective clothing, as well as IT and logistics solutions.

In addition to established market leaders, there will also be presentations by start-ups and new exhibitors. Around a third of them are taking part in Texcare for the first time and they come primarily from Germany, China, the Netherlands, Italy, the USA, Great Britain and Denmark. Wolfgang Marzin, Chairman of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt, stresses that, "Texcare is where the world's technological leaders present their latest developments and do so on a grand scale. At the same time, new, up-and-coming players are also represented, including smaller companies and start-ups, such as those in the software sector. The quality of Texcare 2024 lies exactly in this combination of well-known major brands and newcomers to the market. They demonstrate the full innovative strength of the industry. There can be no doubt that Texcare will generate strong impulses for the market over the coming years."

Focusing on Innovation with Automation and Energy Efficiency as the Key Topics

The pressure to innovate is high for companies in the textile care sector. There have been many changes in the industry since the last Texcare, which has not been held since 2016 due to the pandemic. A shortage of skilled workers, quality assurance and the traceability of processes are among the main challenges faced. Automation is helping to develop more efficient, intelligent laundry and business concepts, and this is one of the main themes covered by the exhibitors and the complementary programme of events. Another important topic, especially in the context of climate change and rising energy costs, is energy efficiency and numerous suppliers will be presenting new technologies and solutions designed to reduce consumption and harmful emissions, increase operational efficiency and improve competitiveness.

Both Exhibitors and Visitors are looking forward to four Intensive Days at the Fair

VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies is a partner association of Texcare International and represents a large proportion of the German mechanical engineering companies making presentations at the trade fair. CEO Elgar Straub is looking forward to this leading event; “After a long eight-year wait, expectations are very high for Texcare International, the world's leading trade fair for the textile care sector. Although the industry is benefiting from the increased demand for hygiene and sustainability worldwide, it is also confronted by a shortage of skilled labour and rising costs. Accordingly, great hopes are being pinned on the solutions to be presented at Texcare. The keywords here are automation, digitalisation, logistics and AI.” On the trade-visitor side, the extensive range of products at Texcare is of particular interest to commercial laundries, textile service providers and dry-cleaners, as well as hotels, hospitals, care homes and other businesses that professionally process their own laundry. Andreas Schumacher, General Manager of the German Textile Cleaning Association, sees a need for investment and is looking forward to Texcare; "Whether it is the shortage of skilled workers or rising energy costs, there is a great need for the industry to invest in digitalisation and automation, as well as in energy-saving technologies. Furthermore, we see an increasing demand for durability, reparability and recyclability in the field of textiles. Therefore, we are especially pleased that the leading trade fair for the industry is back after an eight-year break and offering a platform for the exchange of information about product innovations." International textile care associations, e.g., CINET (Comité International de l'Entretien du Textile) and ETSA (European Textile Services Association), also use Texcare as a platform for their activities.
