While approximately 63,000 visitors and 2,300 exhibitors from 117 countries have come together at the fair; Italy, France, Turkey, England, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland and the USA were the major countries with the highest number of visitors.
At the fair, organized by the national participation organization İTHİB for the fifth time, 16 companies were exhibited under the Turkish pavilion. İTHİB Member of the Board of Directors Mr. Mustafa Denizer who achieved participation said the following about the fair, ''Technical textiles is the future of the textile industry. Therefore, this fair is very important for us. In the last 10 years, there has been an increase in Turkey's technical textile production, export and investment. Military products, automotive, job safety, non-woven fabrics and high-strength yarn are our country’s core disciplines in production. During the stand visits to our companies, we are delighted about the collections of Turkish companies that are innovative and that are high above the standards. With the contributions of Techtextil Frankfurt Fair, we are targeting to reach 5 billion dollar exports in mid-term and to be ranked amongst the biggest 5 exporter nations.''
