Milano Unica’s 28th edition is taking place and the two prominent area in the exhibition are Tendenze Area and the Sustainability Project in the new season. The Opening Ceremony on 5th of February 2019 which is dedicated to the important evolutions of the Milano Unica Sustainability Project, marked the 28th edition of the exhibition. Milano Unica has always offered its visitors much content: a well-organized and exclusive journey through, innovation and creative ideas, thanks to the numerous Event Areas, the Content Projects and the Special Areas, like the Observatories.
The Tendenze Area and Sustainability Project
The Tendenze Area of the Milano Unica February 2019 edition is representing the trade show’s heart of creativity. The Music menu is gathering the visitors of the exhibition with retro-style in the Tendenze Area. “Sustainable Innovation” is another main theme of the new edition of the Sustainability Project, both in its substantive approach to the theme and in the promotion criteria of its participants. Process sustainability is a key pillar for the selection and promotion of businesses and their products. Consistently with its commitment to sustainability and following the guidelines identified by SMI – Sistema Moda Italia, Milano Unica has implemented a series of initiatives to raise participants’ awareness and reduce the carbon footprint of the trade show. A concrete approach that in its simplicity contributes to strengthening a shared path for a more sustainable future.
There were The Vintage Area and the areas dedicated to Fashion Job, Woolmark, SMI – Sistema Moda Italia, Linen Dream Lab/Celc, Origin Passion and Beliefs First, and to the sponsors Banca Sella, Caffè Toraldo and Lauretana in the exhibition. Among the most significant initiatives targeted to emerging young talents, Milano Unica also presented Eyes on Me, a showcase for designers who have just graduated from fashion schools, and Back to School, an extraordinary renowned name in the fashion industry. From the exhibitor perspective, the trade show confirmed that the attendance is in line with the growing trend already registered in the previous February edition.
Milano Unica Content Projects, developed in collaboration with partners and sponsors, included Linen Dream Lab by Celc, Woolmark, Banca Sella, Sistema Moda Italia and Eyes on Me. Linen Dream Lab presented the green fiber of the future with its two different brands called MASTERS OF LINEN® and EUROPEAN FLAX®. Woolmark area also presented the latest trends while Sistema Moda Italia promoting the interests of the sector by facilitating relations with economic/political institutions and organizations and supporting businesses in their internationalization process. Eyes On Me area was the second edition of the special project dedicated to young talents. Recent graduates from the main fashion schools had an opportunity to present their creations to buyers and professionals.
