Tayfun Yardım, Turkey General Director of Messe Frankfurt, answered the questions of our Magazine Group about Istanbul Apparel Sourcing to be held on 23-25 March 2016.
Stating that Messe Frankfurt is one of the most rooted fair organisation firms of the world with its history of about 800 years, Tayfun Yardım said that they have been operating in the Turkish market with their own office as Messe Frankfurt Istanbul Ltd. since 2000. Yardım added that, “Having a very suitable location in terms of transport to all important trade centres of the region thanks to its geographical position and history of thousands of years, Istanbul is a new meeting point for global garment fabric manufacturers and buyers from fast growing regions with its dynamic trade environment. Messe Frankfurt has organised high quality fairs throughout the world for long years now and led numerous textile professionals to open to international markets. Now we bring our Texworld brand to Istanbul which is a production centre in terms of garment fabrics.”
Professional Visitors from Big Markets Come Together
Stating that Texworld Istanbul Apparel Sourcing to be held on 23-25 March covers all product groups being a part of the worldwide textile and garment brand activities of Messe Frankfurt, Tayfun Yardım gave the following information about Texworld Apparel Sourcing: “At Texworld Apparel Sourcing, the participants will get the chance of displaying cotton products, denim, brode and lace, artificial fur and leather, jacquard fabrics, knitted fabrics, shirt fabric, wool and wool blend fabrics, functional fabrics, linen and hemp woven, printed, silk and byssine, yarn and fibre, accessories, organic fabrics, scarves and shawls, apparel and garment products, sportswear, swimsuit, underwear, pyjamas, suits and textile and garment products. Jacquard fabrics and artificial fur and leather added into product groups
Stating that what distinguishes Texworld fairs from others is that it has a global perspective, Yardım reminded that the third edition of Texworld Istanbul Apparel Sourcing is completely full and gathered more than 5000 qualified visitors from 49 countries. Stating that, “In this international platform we created, we feel the honour of gathering participants, visitors and buyers under the same roof”, Yardım emphasized that Turkish fashion and garment brands are looking for fabrics of varying and different quality in order to meet the increasing demand. Yardım continued his remarks by saying: “Considering that Turkey is one of the leading textile centres in the world, 4th Texworld Istanbul Apparel Sourcing will take place in Istanbul and jacquard fabrics, artificial fur and leather were added among the product groups.”
Yardım stated that they had difficulty in meeting the heavy demand from the Turkish firms especially for foreign fairs in 2015 and there are many fairs for which participants have been waitlisted for the upcoming periods.
