We Again Satisfied our Supply from Domestic Machinery for our Machinery Import

Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry Assembly President M.Hanefi Öksüz, said the following at the opening speech of KTM2021 fair while underlining its importance for the city and for the industry in the region, ‘’I would like to thank all of our companies whom participated at the fair. What makes our fair important has been the gradual progression of textile machinery industry that continues its momentum at high speeds. While talking about fair, keep in mind that we do not organize our fair in a giant fairground area, we should emphasize on its location since domestic machinery manufacturers and local industrialists came together here and we are now turning our way to domestic products in the supply of machinery exports. This is very critical and we are happy to reap the benefits. For all of the reasons above, I share my good wishes about the fair.’’

‘’KTM Has Critical Importance for New and Local Technologies’’

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Hayrettin Güngör reminded about the unique potential of the city Kahramanmaraş and said the following, ‘’We are organizing such fairs to meet the potential of our city, Kahramanmaraş. At the International Kahramanmaraş Textile Machinery Fair, which will open today, two important points have just underlined by the speakers coming to the platform. First point was that it is an important fair to see new technologies and to develop our own technology to see its success. I think this is important because every discipline is on the development trend. Our owned values and technologies have not reached at their success point overnight. We continued on our growth journey by taking steps with confidence with the potential we have as the city of Kahramanmaraş. I would like to thank all of our fellow countrymen whom has taken part in our success, and also to industry representatives and to our industry associations and partners with my deepen appreciation and I wish we all will enjoy a successful fair.’’

‘’Kahramanmaraş Sets as the Leader in Textiles in Turkey’’

İsmail Gülle, President of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), shared his good intentions about the Kahramanmaraş Textile Machinery Fair KTM at the opening speech and said the following, ‘’2021 was a year for us to see the fruits of our work in our exports with its materialization since it was reflected in our export figures as in Kahramanmaraş and all other provinces in Turkey and with the aid of these figures, achieving 20 billion dollar in monthly context and 200 billion dollar in yearly context. Therefore, we will never forget the year passing. A year we reached many successes with the stories be spoken in which global supply chain was experienced a broken chain but thanks to the creator we have experienced a smooth transition. Our will has been to ensure the continuity in the work of these sectors to support the development of exports and imports and also support the personal development of our workforce with the decisions taken.Today, we are seeing a different image in which we surpassed world regions with our strong managerial input as us.’’

Gülle continued his wording with following, ‘’We are here today because fairs are one of the works we have to provide the infrastructure of this development. We will have the opportunity to see technologies that are supporting our growth and development and in this way, we will advance. Maraş recognized this image with a caution and take it this opportunity this period to give way to investments and in terms of investments showing a demand and seeing steps taken to achieve growth. These points have taken us to this conclusion. When we see the investment boom in the industry as mentioned above, we say with a confidence that these investments and with the present investments and with our strong manpower we will surely pass these targets one by one. With the God’s will in mind, we hope that machinery fair in Kahramanmaraş which we established to serve our cause and which we follow closely in its organization will be fruitful for our region and for our industry.’’

'Kahramanmaraş Makes a Great Contribution to the Potential of our Country’’

Rıza Tuna Turagay, Deputy Minister of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey, while emphasizing the importance of Kahramanmaraş and said the following, ‘’We can say about Kahramanmaraş as the homeland of textiles. When we have a look at the export figures, we can catch 700 million dollars exports in textiles at a glance. Also, machinery exports are on stage as well but not satisfactory. Textile Machinery export of Turkey is around 1billion dollar. This figure shows us that we should produce textile machinery with added technological value. Kahramanmaraş International Textile Machinery Fair places great importance to see the development of Turkish machinery industry and in what capacity for Turkish industrialists. Today, two major events are coming to our agenda. First, the International textile machinery fair KTM which we opened and second is the Eximbank Kahramanmaraş Branch Opening. We all know our potential as a country and we need to pull up our potential to new heights. To achieve this, our exporters and industrialists work relentlessly with full power. Our stability is apparent, the point we have reached is obvious. To highlight, the second quarter growth rate stood at 21.7%. We will surely pass our export target of 211 billion dollar seeming to us all.‘’ Turagay concluded his speech with the following, ‘’I wish a good fair for all of us. I would like to thank all the stakeholders who contributed and who made an input.’’
