ITM 2020 Istanbul Fair, which was planned to be held on June 2, 2020, was first scheduled to July 2020 due to Covid-19 and then cancelled and re-scheduled to June 2021.
As the dates of ITMA ASIA and ITM2021 coincided with, news was circulating about the intense pressure on the organizers’ by the foreign exhibitors to cancel the ITM2021 fair. On the other hand, Turkish machinery manufacturers were showing their interest towards the organization of ITM 2021.
The organizers, who forced to cancel ITM2020, published an article to all of the participants starting with "Covid-19 Pandemic", by informing their participants that they cancelled it in ITM2021.
As ITMA ASIA Fair planned to be held in China where pandemic outbreak, leaving opinion on the public that it was cancelled due to the ‘’pandemic’’ along with ITM 2021 since both fairs having the same timetable and as such both fairs were rescheduled for a year again was far behind the reality according to the public.
