Çalık Denim Support for the Industry: 'Field Trip' in Turkey

Premium denim manufacturer Çalık Denim, one of the global leaders of positive transformation in the fashion and denim world, came together at the "Field Trip" event organized by the world's largest cotton sustainability program, Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), in Şanlıurfa and Malatya. In addition to event business partners; representatives of important brands from the global fashion world such as Marks & Spencer, Varner, New Look, Beymen and Mavi and leading influencers of the denim industry, contracted farmers and agriculture stakeholders in the region in Turkish cotton production attended the event. Çalık Denim, the world's leading premium and environmentally friendly denim manufacturer, is moving the 'Field Trip' event, organized by BCI in Şanlıurfa last year which provides training on more sustainable cotton agricultural practices to more than 2.5 million farmers from the smallest to the biggest in 23 countries, also to Malatya this year.

The visits to Çalık Denim's Malatya factory, which attaches importance to transparency in production from its seed base to brick and mortar store with the motto "Passion for Denim, Passion for Life", and to Şanlıurfa, which plays an important role in cotton supply, are also of great importance for the region.

The team visited sister company Çalık Cotton's factory in Urfa, which produces with the latest technology infrastructure, and the lands of contracted farmers who produce BCI-oriented production, on 4-5 October on its own premises, and then on October 6, a visit achieved to Çalık Denim's factory which is a production base in Malatya. Those who attended the visits had the opportunity to see all production processes from cotton to the final stage of fabric production in the integrated facility and examine the production of Çalık Denim's denim fabrics that direct the trends in the fashion world on its own soil.
