Potential buyers from many countries, especially from France, Italy, India, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Spain, and USA and from the Turkish Republics, have become together at the round table with local companies, thanks to the procurement committees, at the fair where the theme of sustainability was prominent amongst others.

A wide variety of product groups such as curtains, curtain accessories, tulle, upholstery fabric, kitchen and dining room textiles, towels and bathroom group products, resting and bedroom textiles were exhibited in the 'Fields of Inspiration' sections, which were formed for the first time at the fair. In the "Designer Boxes" showcased by Turkey's leading designers, the designers presented the products of the companies to the visitors by enriching them with their own interpretations.

While eminent figures such as the famous Italian designer Andrea Dall'Olio, Omar Baban, Erdem Akan, Ahu Barut, Cenk Mommarje delivered presentations about trends special to the fair, prominent local and global key figures have come together with the industry and have shared their experiences in seminars organized with different themes.

“The Fair Contributed Positively to the Exports”

President of TETSİAD, the umbrella organization of the home textile industry, Hasan Hüseyin Bayram stated that the Turkish home textile industry is local and domestic one that provides the most added value to the country's economy with an average export unit value of more than 8 dollars per kilogram, while underlining the importance of Hometex that empowers the export potential of the companies.

"We Turned Crisis into Opportunity"

Reminding that the fair was hosted by TETSİAD this year with the emphasis of "More Stronger, More Participatory", Bayram said, "While 170,000 domestic and foreign visitors attended Hometex for 5 days, thousands of business meetings were held at the fair. As the Turkish home textile industry, we had a very beneficial fair in which we make use of the best gap in the global market after the pandemic and managed to turn the crisis into an opportunity. Collaborations with visitors attending our fair from all over the world will be reflected in production and exports in a short time and will contribute to the development of our industry. Our home textile industry will further increase its exports and its share in global trade with the contribution of Hometex.”
