HOMETEX, which is considered as one of the most important platforms in the world in the home textile industry, has been successfully completed. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), who visited the fair, said, “Home textile is a sector we are proud of as a country. A magnificent fair organization is taking place here. Everyone should achieve their visits to this fair."
HOMETEX, organized by the umbrella organization of the home textile industry, Turkish Home Textile Industrialists and Businessmen Association (TETSİAD), under the organization of KFA Fuarcılık, a subsidiary of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), brought together the global players of the industry. The fair, held in 11 halls in a total area of 200 thousand square meters at the Istanbul Expo Center, continues to host local and foreign visitors as well as representatives of the business world. TOBB Chairman of the Board of Directors Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO) Chairman of the Board of Directors Şekib Avdagiç and Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Association (İTHİB) Chairman of the Board of Directors Ahmet Öksüz met with sector representatives at the fair.
“We are Proud of the Home Textile Industry”
The delegation that attended the fair visited the exhibitors with a stand at the fair together with BTSO Chairman of the Board of Directors İbrahim Burkay, BTSO Assembly Chairman Ali Uğur, TETSİAD President Hasan Hüseyin Bayram and Members of the Board of Directors. Hisarcıklıoğlu then visited HOMETEX Dialogs and trend areas. While making evaluations at the end of their personal visit, TOBB Chairman of the Board of Directors Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the fact that HOMETEX Home Textile Fair has been continuing for 32 years, this has been the most important indicator of the unity and solidarity of the sector. “More than 700 exhibitors participated with a stand at the fair. The sector exports to 180 countries. Home textile is a sector with an average export of over 9 dollars per kilogram and of which we are proud of as a country."

Home Textile Industry Showcased Its New Collections
BTSO Chairman of the Board of Directors, İbrahim Burkay, talked about their aim to make a significant contribution to the sector and Turkey's export performance with the HOMETEX Fair, where the home textile industry meets. While pointing out that home textile is the most important sub-section of the textile industry, İbrahim Burkay said that the companies that have succeeded in clustering in home textile from Istanbul to Denizli, and from Bursa to Ankara and to Çorlu, are not only carry the sector to the most competitive spots around near proximity but also in the most important markets of the world. While stating that approximately 700 companies that opened stands at the fair brought together their latest collections with buyers around the world, President Burkay said, “It is very important to be strong in production. However, we need to be able to deliver production to the right markets through the right channels. In this context, HOMETEX, which has been held for 32 years, once again showed how important a platform it is for the sector. Our companies had the opportunity to display their products and collections to many buyers around the world. These already started delivering their new orders.
