Carpet manufacturers are beginning to recover. Domotex Turkey, which was held in Gaziantep in May after three years break, was supportive in increasing export expectations of the industry that was set out at around 4 billion dollars. Bringing together the carpet professionals around the globe, 48 foreign companies from 14 nations marked their presence with their senior managers.
Connections Leave Satisfaction
Royal Halı, getting attention with its two thousand carpet portfolio with their unique patterns at its special showrooms built-in in Domotex Turkey stands, leave the fair with satisfaction with the new global connections as a brand. While reminding about our country’s total exports in carpets recorded as 3.2 billion dollars last year, Royal Carpet General Manager Tansel Tula said that the meetings they held with the managers of companies participating in the Domotex Turkey Fair, especially from Far East countries, indicated that this figure would increase much further.
72% of Carpet Exports are from Gaziantep
Royal Halı General Manager Tula said, “Last year, 72 percent of Turkey's carpet exports came only from Gaziantep. Our brands also have a large share in the 2.3 billion dollar carpet exports which we achieved from here. In total, 48 companies from abroad attended DOMOTEX Turkey with their senior managers. These are the big players of the global carpet trade. Our meetings with them raised our expectations for our exports this year. As Royal Halı, we are exporting to 28 countries with our brands such as Atlas Halı, Pierre Cardin Halı and Studio Halı. At the moment, we are about to form connections to Far East countries such as Australia to achieve exports. Probably, the number of countries we are exporting to that is 28 will pass 30 by the end of the year.’’
