Events will colour up ITMA 2015

ITMA 2015 which is the world’s biggest textile and garment industry manufacturing technologies event will be organized in Fiere Milano Rho in Milano, Italy between the dates 12- 19 November. In this edition which solutions developed for textile and clothing sectors, sustainability will come to the fore. Accordingly a series of activities for textile sector is being planned to carry out.

On November 13; World Textile Summit, on November 14; Textile Colorant and Chemical Leaders Forum, on November 15; Digital Textile and on November 16; Nonwoven Conference will be organized. We will share the notes from the summit, forum and conferences which our Publication Group will follow with dense team in the pages of next month’s run with you.

World Textile Summit

World Textile Summit which will be organized on November 13 will gather the most important agents of textile sector in the world. In the statement of Charles Beauduin who is the President of CEMATEX which organizes the summit within the scope of investment opportunities in the developing countries where textile sector creates value added, said ‘’Textile sector meets the requirements of people which addresses to clothing field as being a roof sector and therefore it is a sector which has an important position in any period of history. At the same time it provides great contributions for especially the third world and the developing countries at production and employment. But with these contributions, it causes some environmental based problems in the geographies where the production is carried out. In the summit of this year, we will talk on the environment problems caused with the textile sector and try to find solutions’’.

Textile Colorant and Chemical Leaders Forum

Textile Colorant and Chemical Leaders Forum which was carried Out in Barcelona in 2011 for the first time in ITMA fair attracts great interest of fashion and textile dyeing sector agents coming from all around the world. In the forum whose theme will be sustainability at dye and finishing processes, the up-to- date information on sector opportunities and new developed applications will be shared with the participants.

In the forum where extensive subjects such as the problems in the production, solutions and the future trends, the subjects of contagion of the market place due to chemical pollution and environmental issues, how supplying chain responds this and the developing trends will be discussed in detail.

Alessandro Gigli who is the Member of the Board of Italian Textile Chemical and Colorant Association and also carries out the chairmanship of forum committee said ‘’Throughout the forum, we will discuss the issues of the approach of chemical and colorant suppliers to current environmental issues, updating at REACH regulations and the effect of new dyeing and printing technologies on sustainable supply chain. Due to the great interest for sustainability issues which affect textile and ready wear sector, we received a lot of articles. We hope for forum to be the focal point for meaningful dialogues which contributes to the advances in the sector’’.

The names which will take part in the forum as speakers will be: Andrew Filarowski from Dyeing and Colorant Federation, Enrique Meltzer from Latin America Textile Chemists’ Federation, Jan Marek from International Textile Chemicals and Colorants Federation, Alberto Gallina  from ZDHC Group, Prof Marc Vanparys from the Chairman of Unitex and Prof Guiseppe Rosace  from Bergamo University who is worldwide known with the studied made on the damages of textile chemicals on environment.

Nonwoven Forum

Nonwoven Forum which is jointly organized by EDANA and MP Expositions will discuss the problems having at the fast- growing nonwoven sector, difficulties and opportunities. Director of EDANA Sustainability and Public Affairs Pierre Conrath who will start the forum with an introduction about nonwoven sector, said ‘’Program shaped within the frame of ‘Nonwovens: the world of growth and opportunities’. I think the presentations which will be carried out on the latest application and chemical finishing will be useful for ITMA visitors who are in the nonwoven production and target to work on this. Participants will find useful to have the opportunity of visiting fair and observing many technologies in the fair’’
