11th Dhaka International Textile and Garment Machinery Exhibition (DTG 2014) was held on 12-15 February in Bangladesh. Our magazine group, which participated in this fair with a stand and at the same time is the publications partner of the event, examined the event where European and Asian machinery manufacturers met with local textile and apparel manufacturers closely. 850 participants from 31 countries took place took part in the fair which was inaugurated by Abdul Muhith, Minister of Finance of Bangladesh. More than 30 thousand visitors coming from domestic and foreign markets including 16 companies from Turkey, which are members of TEMSAD, attended the fair.
Bangladesh, which is one of the biggest manufacturers in global textile market, gives a great deal of importance for the promotional activities. DTG, which is known as the most important event in South Asia, is seen as the most significant promotional opportunity for Bangladeshi textile manufacturers who invest heavily in textile sector.
Bangladesh industry continues to grow thanks to its ongoing political stability. Following these growth, the purchasers have started to head towards Bangladesh market for new orders. In 2013, the manufacturers have increased the orders for the machinery supply according to their power of capacity. Stating that the fair is one of the most important events held in South East Asia, Jahangir Alamain, Chairman of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), said that: ''The fair will motivate the manufacturers to understand the current technologies of the textile and ready wear industry, select the most appropriate ones for them and increase the competitive production in the market. For this purpose, the country's leading textile, garment and textile machinery manufacturers came together at the 11th edition of the fair. ” .
The spare parts and technical equipment were also exhibited in DTG, which is textile and garment machinery fair. Among the participants of the fair, there were the manufacturers including such fields as textile and garment machinery, its accessories and parts; footwear manufacture, leather machinery and its accessories; spinning and winding machinery; weaving and knitting machinery; dyeing and finishing machinery; quality control testing units and auxiliary equipment.
