Turkish Nonwoven Symposium to be organized by Edana, the umbrella organisation of European manufacturers offering a comprehensive range of services in the field of nonwoven production will be held on 10-11 November. The event for which our Magazine Group is a sponsor will be organized at Intercontinental Hotel in İstanbul.
Having turned into an industrial institution following the nonwoven developments in Europe and throughout the world since it was established in 1971, Edana attaches a special importance to the developing countries in order to extend its domain with 220 countries. In the Turkish Nonwoven Symposium organized by Edana which tries to create awareness with its activities and to be followed by our editorial team, latest developments in the sector will be discussed and companies operating in Europe will be informed of the trade environment in Turkey.
Turkish Market Will Be Discussed
Speakers of the panel will evaluate the economic, demographic, political and social dynamics of Turkey. The topics on the first day of the event will be situation of Turkey’s nonwoven production, investment conditions in Turkey, Turkish economy and long term perspectives, wet towel production lines and new machine trends in wet towel production, sustainability of protective materials used in wet towel production, binders that do not contain formaldehyde for nonwoven applications, latest innovations in the field of dry-laid nonwoven, performance of calcium carbonate in spunbond polypropylene, Turkish market: disposable hygiene products, role of women in the Turkish business world and its importance in the hygiene sector, disposable surgical gown and factors in the surgery room curtain market and regulatory harmony in European Union and other regions. On the second day of the symposium, such topics as nonwoven sorbents in the disposal of petroleum wastes, cross-laminated nonwovens, nonwoven in automotive applications, swabs, use and applications of nonwoven in packaging products, new period in the three-dimensional design, innovation management.
Leading Figures of the Sector Will Take Part
In the symposium, Adana Chamber of Commerce (ATO), İstanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association (ITKIB) and Ataman Özbay from Faculty of Pharmacy of Marmara University will talk about local investment opportunities in Turkey. Afterwards, Jacques Prigneaux, Edana Market Research and Economic Relations Director, will deliver a speech on global view to Turkish nonwoven production. In the session where Henkel, Hayat Kimya, Hy-TecHygiene-Technologie, H.B. Fuller, Centexbel, Erciyes University and Lenzing take part will discuss hygiene applications. Speakers from ZydexIndustries, General Nonwovens&Composites and Hassan Group will share the latest developments in the nonwoven products.
