Within the scope of workshop themed "Cotton in 21st Century’’ which is organized by Kahramanmaraş Sütçü Imam University Department of Textile Engineering and Department of Cotton Expertise, a R&D project market will be carried out as well. R&D project market themed ‘’Avoiding Contamination in Cotton’’ with the collaboration of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü Imam University Faculty of Agriculture and Engineering Architecture Faculty will be realized on 23- 24 March 2016.
Within the scope of R&D project market in which applications will be done on 14 March 2016 and the evaluations will be announced on 23 March, the winner will be given 4000 TL. Within the scope of the competition in which the second one will be awarded 2500 TL, the third one will be given 1500 TL. In the statements made by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Korkmaz who is the Head of Department of Textile Engineering and Prof. Dr. Lale Efe who is the Head of the Department of Cotton Expertise in the name of Regulatory Board, the following words were taken place ‘’The precautions for revealing the effects of fibre quality during and after harvest so as to increase the quality of Turkish cotton and reducing the pollution need to be discussed. While we host the different shareholders of cotton sector (farmers, cotton gin manufacturers, ministry representatives related to textile sector and related department of the universities) in Kahramanmaraş within the scope of ‘’Cotton Workshop in 21st Century’’, we want to focus on all of the attentions to the contamination issue which is important to textile sector by organizing a project market on the same date. Our expectation from this event is especially to discuss the contamination problem and enable to apply the required applications’’. Within the scope of the workshop, it is targeted to reveal the problems of the solution recommends by discussing the problems of the textile manufacturers.
