3rd Mediterranean Supply Fair which was organized by Turkish, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisian ready wear firms and Turkish textile manufacturers Cotton Council International between the dates 14 -17 April for Turkish, European and American brands was carried out with the participation of Economist Jon Devine from Cotton Incorporated, the President of Turkish Garment Industrialist Association(TGSD) Seref Fayat, the Executive Director of African Cotton Textile Industries Federation (ACTIF) Belinda Admonds.
At the fair which brought yarn, fabric and ready wear purchasers and sellers together and gave the opportunity for about 1.400 one on one meetings, the presentations of World Cotton Market of Jon Devine, Turkish Economy and Ready Wear Sector of Seref Fayat and African Cotton Textile and Ready Wear Sector were attracted great attention.

After the event, Fabric Purchasing Manager of LC Waikiki, Dr. Ibrahim Gunes stated that Cotton USA Sourcing Fair organized by Cotton Council International was especially beneficial for Turkish and European purchasers and said “At this process in which financial difficulties have occurred and the orders from Far East have decreased, this event in which both Turkish and European purchasers and the fabric and outfit manufacturers from Turkey and Northern Africa countries were brought together gained favor for the continuation of textile and outfit manufacture on this geography”.
While Akın, Alteks, Balsoy, Bossa, Dynamo, Erdem, Ensar, Gap Guneydogu, İskur, Matesa, Şahtaş, Şirikçioğlu were in among the Turkish textile firms particapated for the event, Badıllı, Dinateks, Kaynak, Negreti, Peracons and System from Turkish ready wear sector took place and international brands took place such as Artsana, Benetton, Cecil, Contonella, DeFacto, El Corte Ingles, Ernsting’s Family, LC Waikiki which control the brands of Prenatal; Chicco; Pio; Lycia; Control.
