Celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, Lycra® organized Moves Istanbul Hosiery and Shock Innovation and trend presentation organisation for the fifth time in Turkey after Germany, Italy and United Kingdom and brought togethre the leading brands and companies in the hoiser and sock industry.
The event was launched with the opening speech of Turkey Sales Manager Aslan Kabapelit followed by the new concept trends prepared by Lycra®’s trend design agency Stijlinstituut fashion consultants and the technical presentation by Jane Gwyther , Sock & Hoisery Marketing Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Five New Concepts
In the new collection, five different trends become prominent called; Dance Hall, Sports Arena, Business Lounge, Playground and Quiet Room. While the Dance Hall trend is focused on experiences like having fun and dancing, the Sports Arena concept consists of socks that provide the highest performance during sports. The Business Lounge concept, inspired by the retro-classic clothing style, was redesigned with modern touches of classic and official styles. The Playground concept combines spontaneous designs while the Quiet Room concept reflects a very simple and minimalist style.
In sum; 2019 trends are revived by the designs in which LYCRA®, COOLMAX® and THERMOLITE® fibres are used. The preference for the occasions which are exciting, dynamic, sometimes childish, sometimes reflecting the seriousness of the business life, when we turn into our inner World and feed our spirits by calmness and peace is reflected upon our legs and mood through the original designs.
