Bursa Trade and Industry Chamber ( BTSO) continues making events that will increase the export rates of the textile sector. BTSO, made the BURTEX Fashion Fabric Show under the context of Textile Ur-Ge Project that brought together approximately 360 foreign firms and Bursa’s textile firms. The event took place at Bursa Merinos Atatürk Congress Center and more than 70 sector representatives from Bursa presented their products. Approximately 360 foreign firm representatives from 36 countries, mainly from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Mexico, Ghana, Canada, South Africa, The United States, The United Kingdom, Georgia, the Netherlands, Iran, Serbia, Greece, France, Romania, Morocco, Algeria, UAE, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
BTSO Vice Chairman of the Executive Board İsmail Kuş said they are working on ten different Ur-Ge Projects that are supported by the Ministry of Economy. İsmail Kuş stated that BTSO organized a buyer committee event in the textile sector for the fourth time and said that Ur-Ge Projects contribute a lot to Bursa’s exports.
‘Trend Space’ at BURTEX Fashion Fabric Show, where the newest collections of Bursa firms are presented, drew a lot of attention from the visitors. With the contributions of Bursa Municipality and Culture Organization, a presentation was made at the event about the production of silk carpet and other fabrics.
