Stating that they plan to continue their promotion studies in strong global textile markets such as China and India, Sandro Salmoiraghi, the chairman of ACIMIT, expressed that they will support the Italian machinery producers in the developping markets such as  Bangladesh and Vietnam. Pointing out that technical and innovative textiles are striking in these markets, Salmoiraghi said that they are planning to participate in  Techtextil in Frankfurt which will be held in June 2013.

Salmoiraghi added that the ''Made in Italy'' sustainable technologies symposium will be organized via the communication channels of India and Bangladesh.

Promotion Activities Continue Despite The Financial Crisis

Pointing out that It became difficult to profit from public financing opportunities because of the current economic conditions, Salmoiraghi continued his speech as follows: '' Despite this situation, ACIMIT continues its promotion activities for the internationalization of the Italian industry by working with Ministry of Economic Development and  the Italian Trade Commission. It is so important to support the advertising plan of this industry which makes 80 % of its total turnover from overseas markets.''

In the ACIMIT Board of Directors meeting, the new member companies in the period 2011-2012 were discussed. The Chairman of ACIMIT, Salmoiraghi authorized 30 companies under the sign of ACIMIT. ''The number of new member firms is  an encouraging sign for the whole sector. The economy is really in a difficult situation. Furthermore, 2013 estimates generated by ACIMIT and based on feedback from manufacturers contains a deep uncertainty. In such difficult times, the first step will be to act in collaboration with the our association ; there is no need to feel alone about the promotion of the initiative.'' said  Salmoiraghi. “Both the association and its members will work together to achieve common goals capable of providing a further boost to our industry. One of these targets is ITMA 2013 which will be held in Milano.'' added Salmoiraghi.

In the 3rd quarter of 2012, Italian machinery producers had achieved 8 per cent growth in comparison to the previous quarter. This figure means an increase of 53 percent compared to the same period of 2011. It is stated that this increase was especially effective in sales and orders of overseas markets. In the 3rd quarter, it was recorded an increase of 11 percent in orders from foreign markets for the 2nd quarter  (April-July). In spite of the negative trend with a shrinking of 13 % in Italian domestic market, the increase in foreign markets is a good development for Italian machinery producers.
