Dornbirn Man-made Fibers Congress is one of the most effective organizations in man-made studies, and in its 51st edition the most important subject is applications in the future

51st Dornbirn’ s Focus Point is ‘Future’

The 51st edition of Dornbirn Man-made Fibers Congress (Dornbirn MFC), deemed as one of Europe’s most important man-made fiber events, will be held in Austria on 19th-21st September. It is expected that discussions on future of man-made fibers will be at the center of the event to be organized within a more cooperative frame with Austrian Man-made Fibers Institute (AUSTRIAN –MFI) and VDA. It is stated that the 50th Dornbirn MFC of last year was held in a period when changes in fiber world were recognized clearly and the 51st edition will focus on the difficulties in future and innovation.

Other major subjects of the organization were explained as studies for new visual design dynamism and communication, participation of young manufacturers, industrial research, enlarged spectrum of lectures in terms of markets and environment, growing demand and high participation of young participants. In the congress to be held on 19th-21st September; Mobility 2050 Trend Scenarios (to be organized by Zukunftsinstitut Kelkheim), focusing on the textiles in automotive sector, and Textile and Garment Sustainable Supply Effects on the Buying Behaviours of Consumers  (to be organized by Hochschule Niederrhein) will be handled. As in the previous years, Textil Dünyası will participate in the 51st edition of the congress as media partner and establish a close dialogue with man-made fiber producers and academia.

Dynamism and Communication in the New Visual Designs

Significant problems are still being encountered in global economy especially in recent months. It is stated that the man-made fiber market will have a relief with Dornbirn in such a period that affects all markets negatively. According to the explanation provided by authorities, the global fiber market (natural and man-made fibers) shows annual growth rates of three to four percent and the production will exceed 100 million tons in a few years if increase continues this way. In this respect, expectation of increase influences the plans made for the future. The executives of exhibition, with an effective study, organize lectures related to the future of fibers. Important industrial manufacturers, industrial professionals and academicians will participate in the lectures within the event.

A Large Committee from Japan will Come This Year

In the forthcoming event, studies will be carried out for ensuring sustainability, innovative production, communication-based dynamism. A major emphasis of this year will be on the topic of fibers and textiles in automobiles. The topic of speeches on unconventional fiber applications will provide with important information on incentives. Fiber innovations, man-made fibers for environmental protection, medical applications, EU projects and technical nonwovens stand out as other topics of focus. In this organization, the whole man-made fiber industry will be discussed and particularly the delegation from Japan will play an important role. With important panels related to future, speakers and participants from academic circles, major participants, experts of the sector will take advantage of this event to share valuable ideas, findings and knowledge. The organization owns dense network for European universities and research institutes. Therefore communication with the upcoming generations is deemed as an important demand. In addition, 6 university students will have the possibility to present their research work to the visitors for the first time in the event.
