The Association of Turkish Home Textile Industrialists and Businessmen (TETSIAD) is waiting for an important activation in these months at the textile sector which has an 8 billion dollars home market volume. According to the report of The TETSIAD, when looking at the best seller products carried out during the marriage preparation, bedroom products are seen at the top level. Quilt, bed lining, pillow and quilt cover sets, tablecloths, doily and the similar are the product groups which we are tend to add for our dowry.
While couples meet their bedclothes sets, quilts, pillows and bed lining needs for their bedrooms, the accessories such as curtains, chandeliers and wardrobe which will be combined with these products are the most demanded as well. Bathroom accessories and kitchenware, bathrobe, towel sets, tablecloths, kitchen curtains and kitchen towels are completing these products.
According to the explanation of TETSIAD, in Anatolia including the big cities, the people who prepare their own home textile dowry by purchasing meter system fabric are declining day by day. As the centers in Istanbul like Sultanhamam, Eminonu Mercan Yokusu, Hasırcılar Carşısı and Grand Bazaar are still attracted attention, the importance of Avenue and Shopping Mall merchandizing is increasing with the consumer habits of modern age.
