The first meeting of “Development for International Competitiveness at Home Textile Ur- Ge Project’’ which has been carried into effect in partnership with İstanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters Association (İTHİB) and The Association of Turkish Home Textile Industrialists and Businessmen (TETSİAD) within the scope of the notification of "Supporting the Development of International Competitiveness " by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Economy was realized with the participations of the President of İTHİB; İsmail Gülle and the President of TETSİAD; Ali Sami Aydın in the previous days.
Before the needs analysis which is the first step of the project, the company officials of the consulting firm, the executives of İTHİB, TETSİAD and 21 home textile firms gathered. At the meeting, by sharing the studies and the steps to be followed that are planned to be realized within the scope of the project for three years, they had an exchange of ideas. Throughout the needs analysis, firm visits, explication of the visit data, innovations and trends about the sector, developments for competitiveness will ve evaluated with international analysis and reports together.
Constant Exporter Firms Are Targeted To Support
Incentives which are used within the scope of the notification of “Supporting the Development of International Competitiveness” numbered 2010/ 8 is one of the most important supports within this scope. Notification covers increase the number of constant exporter firms and increase their power at available and the new markets by improving the quality of exporter firms, putting accessible targets for the firms, carrying out activities for the determination of the needs to reach these targets and offering route maps for the sector.
In accordance with the protocol signed by İTHİB president İsmail Gülle and TETSİAD president Ali Sami Aydın on June 2017, the companies within the scope of the project will benefit from the trainings and consultancy services, foreign country marketing activities (market visits, promotions, brand activities, international fair visits, trade delegation and matchup) for the countries to be decided as target and about 75% state support from buying committees’ organizations for 3 years. The costs of all of these events within the scope of the notification, 75% will be met by Republic of Turkey the Ministry of Economy and 25% will be met by the member firms of İTHİB and TETSİAD to apply for the project. For the part of 75%, a pre- financing model will be used and the participants won’t wait for state support.
