Uludag Garment Industry and Outfit Exporters’ Association signed under 130 million dollars of foreign sale with 18% of increase at woman’s outerwear products in 2016 January- March period.

Uludağ Garment Industry and Outfit Exporters’ Association (UHKİB) made 130 million dollars of foreign sale by raising its export as 18% in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period of previous year. In this success, there is 45% of increase of woman’s outerwear products of UHKİB. UHKİB remarked with 17% of growth at ready- made clothings products to the European countries and 68% of growth in other European countries.

When product groups are taken into consideration, woman’s outerwear group composed the biggest export item of the year with 45% of increase and 75.5 million dollars sale. At the increase of this product group, it was stated that France had 311% of effect, Croatia had 100% of effect and Spain had 84% of effect. General export increase to Union European countries, it occurred as 100 million dollars with 17% of growth in 2016 January- March period.

“We will Enhance Our Export Speed”

President of UHKİB, Şenol Şenkaya, by correlating their success with a general improvement in European market, said “45% of increase in woman outerwear products tantalized us. With the activation of the incentives we wait, we will enhance our export speed.”

President of UHKİB, Şenol Şenkaya who assessed the successful export performance in the name of their sector in the first quarter of the year said “Our export that sourced the improvement of the demand in European market, is ushering that we will exhibit better performance than previous year in 2016. But keeping on the successful performance we caught will enhance with the activation of the incentives which ready- made clothings investors wait.

By remarking the new incentive practices, Şankaya said “Taking subsistence allowance within the scope of public support, applications of original incentive factors in the additional investments made after first investment, taking the machinery in available plants within the scope of incentive practice with the new investments will contribute more to our sector. To overcome the problems happen in investment, export and manufacturing, he said ‘Ready- Made Clothing and Outfit Export Coordination Board’ needs to be formed fast and we need to proceed to the future with bigger steps.”

Şenkaya who told they didn’t ignore the firms being behind the success of the export, stated that they awarded 46 UHKİB member firms and encouraged them as well.
