Şeref Fayat, the President of the Association of Turkish Clothing Industrialists (TGSD), who said that both home market and the export regressed at ready wear sector in 2015, he also stated that they predicted home market and export to have an increase in 2016.
“Both home market and the export regressed at ready wear sector in 2015. In 2014, while ready wear expenses was 57, 7 billion liras at home market, this year it happened at the level of 55, 7 billion liras with 5% reduction. I predict both home market and export to have increase in 2016. Raising of the revenues of wide parts with the revenue policies of the government will affect ready wear expensed positively. 5% and 6% of rise will be able to have at home market’’ said Fayat.
Limited Increase is expected at export in 2016
Fayat who uttered that they expected a limited increase at export in 2016, maintained his words as follows ‘’Removal of regression at euro- dollar parity which affected 2015 negatively at export and the speedup of the growth parallel with the increasing monetary enlargement in EU economies are feeding our increase expectation. But two important obstacles are seen against the export in 2016. First one of these is the regression of our competitive capacity with minimum wage and other wage increases and the second one are the regressions in Russian and Iraq markets. Within this frame, I expect a limited increase with 4% and 5% at export in 2016.’’
Dollar and Euro can increase up to 3, 35- 3,40 TL in the end of 2016
Şeref Fayat, the President of the Association of Turkish Clothing Industrialists (TGSD), who stated that Turkish Lira would decrease in value a little bit within the frames of FED interest rate at exchange rates and decrease in value of the currencies of the developing countries, said ‘’Under the assumptions that euro- dollar parity will be 1,05 as year average and 1,0 at the end of the year and National Bank doesn’t increase the interests, year average of dollar can be 3,20 TL and euro can be 3,30 TL. And at the end of the year, I estimate that euro and dollar can increase up to 3, 35- 3, 40 TL together.’’
