The Association of Osmanbey Textile Exporter and Businessmen ( OTIAD) explained that they left 69 cities behind with 5 months export performance which was carried our Osmanbey textile exporters in January- May term in 2015. According to the explanation made by OTIAD; five moths export done for 154 countries became 614 million 683 thousands dollar.
We are directly or indirectly affected
İlker Karatas who is the Chairman of the Board of OTIAD made an explanation and said ‘’ Turkey is affected directly or indirectly from the things happens just beyond the borders. Therefore, even if we look from the viewpoint of just neighbor countries or marketplace, a fall at export numbers with 2015 confronts us comprehensibly. We had a safe and sound election in 7th June. I want to express here that we are waiting for a constructive and positive politics understanding by giving their all toward dialogue and reconciliation. I call every part to support coalition government which will give the lasting peace and carry out structural reforms for Turkey by put political party profits to one side’’.
Fashion will start in Osmanbey
Karatas who said “If Istanbul became a fashion center, this would start in Osmanbey which exports for more than 154 countries worldwide’’, also by drawing attention to the effort of Ministry of Economy, stated that important supports were offered to make investment on design for ready wear firms with the modifications made on Design Declaration dated 2008 and this was an important opportunity for Osmanbey.
