Ahmet Öksüz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (İTHİB), said the following; “As the Turkish textile sector, we are not only taking steps in the added value we create, production and export. Acting with our sense of responsibility, we have also launched a campaign to plant 30 thousand trees to recover our losses, by planting 10 thousand trees in our memorial forest which we give breath last year, on behalf of our Texhibition Istanbul fair in order to reduce our carbon footprint.”
A Sapling for Every Visitor
İTHİB President Ahmet Öksüz said, “Our Texhibition Istanbul fair, where we will bring together more than 500 qualified textile companies with nearly 30 thousand visitors between September 11-13, 2024, will provide the most appropriate contribution to our companies in 2024, which was challenging year ahead for our exporters, and will also give our country a breath of fresh air with the saplings we grow. Within this framework, we will plant 1 sapling for each visitor.”
Texhibition Istanbul Fair on the Way to Becoming a Global Brand
The previous Texhibition Istanbul Fair hosted more than 25 thousand qualified professionals from the domestic and foreign textile sector ecosystem. While making evaluations about the fair, İTHİB Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of the Fairs Committee Fatih Bilici said; “As İTHİB, we provide the most appropriate contribution to our textile sector's 15 billion dollar export target with our Texhibition Istanbul fair. Our fair is not only a single platform where B2B meetings are held, but also a full service center where all the dynamics of the sector are addressed with panels, seminars and trend areas. Within the framework of our work, we will continue our initiatives to make our fair a global brand in the coming period."
